Beautiful short walk around ocean. You can find here a few old places, where were cannoneers during second world war. Absolutely recommend you to go there if you will travel near by this place.

Godley Beach Park
Easy tramping place with breathtaking view of the coast. Path is not shaded so you will need sunscreen & a hat. No hiking shoes required but a camera to snap a picture would bring you beautiful memories in years to come. You can bring along your kids and/or your dogs. And, beware of inconsiderate humans leaving their dog’s poop to decompose in the middle of the path.

Short walk down to the beach. Nice to go down here while you do the Taylor's Mistake walk. You have a break from the walk and chill out on the sea. There is some old house but I guess nobody is living there. Recommend

It’s the best that this city has to offer. Just only 20 minutes drive from the CBD you will find this hidden gem of Christchurch. It’s worth the journey for the breathtaking nature and views. There is no public transport to get there so you need to either take Uber from Sumner or city. Parking spots are limited. The trail is easy / moderate even for kids and elderly. From the moment you start you will experience amazing, breathtaking views of the cliffs and beaches surrounding the peninsula. Don’t be scared of sheep wandering around they are more scared of you. If you want to take full loop from parking around the head and back it’s about 10km and takes 2.5-3 hours , otherwise just go for half an hour and turn around when you feel tired. At the top there are former WWII fortifications. A must see !

Cool cave dwelling at the bottom. Located farther up the trail, keep an out for the railing on the water’s edge.
