Panorama Motor Inn
Had a pleasant time eating at the Panorama motor inn restaurant. The staff were very polite, welcoming and efficient. Although located in an older building, the views of the town and landscape were enchanting and added to the ambience of the experience created by the restaurant.The food was fresh and reminded me of a home cooked meal done elegantly. The meals provided good portion sizes and had great depth of flavour using simple ingredients well. The desserts were flavourful and not overly sweet.The interior of the restaurant could use a revamp as it is dated and doesn’t match the experience provided by the food.

We were based here to rideThe Timber Trail as family. Excellent daily service of rooms to a high standard, lovely big beds. Great views and quiet location, road noise not noticeable. Room kitchette well equipped and nice complementary toiletries. Two suggestions; windows lack privacy ie add tinting or sun filter curtains, update website with facilities, ie no laundry onsite. The outdoor pool was great on a hot day.

We were in a jam, our vehicle broke down and there was no way it was going to make it home to South Taranaki. We also had a loaded trailer to park as well. We were so grateful to have somewhere tostay. Affordable and Mae was amazing. After the day we had she looked after us while we propped up the bar. The room was small but it was lovely and clean besides that was all we needed. Thank you so much, we are coming back just to stay for a break. The panoramic view from our room was outstanding.
