Chipmunks Playland and Cafe New Lynn

We ended up here as it had just started to rain and we had to divert. First time for us here and it was packed. There was a variety of things to do. My ASD child had a good time releasing his energy. The food and drinks are great too. We paid $17.50 for kids over 3years and $10 for my ASD child.

Such a great place to let the kids burn off some energy. My 15 month old boy and 3.5 years old year old girl love it so much.The kids will get very sweaty. Take big water bottles.It is quite noisy in there if you have a sensitive little one .... something to be aware of.The staff are always very friendly too. Lots of parking too

Poor and biased customer service. First they served 5 customers who ordered after me the exact same food and lost my forgot my receipt order on the table. They didn't apologize for that.. then they gave me incomplete order. I had to show them my bank statement to show them that I paid for two items. Never apologized at any step.

The person on the service counter at this place was (and has been on more than one occasion) grumpy and rude. If you are in the service industry for children set an example by greeting with a smile and being polite. Surly face and a yep is not a good example to kids. At >$50 for 3 kids under 10 it is not cheap either. We went to to the beach with fish and chips instead it was half the price. I feel strongly that service culture needs to be significantly improved in this branch at least. I could not bring myself to spend our hard earned leisure budget in this circumstance.

We had my son's birthday party there yesterday and everyone had a great time. We got the basic birthday package which was really affordable for 8 kids. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The playground, cafe, toilets, party room were all really clean. The party food (nuggets + hot chips) was nice. Would definitely recommend.

The place is clean and entrance fee was affordable, playground design was great but the biggest let down were staff not available to monitor safety and enforcing the rules, examples: I had my 2 year old in the under 4 area, we went early in the morning and there many over 4 year old children playing dangerously in that area such as climbing and jumping on equipment that clearly labels do not climb, adults were observed going up slides where there said no adults allow, the older children dangerously spinning each other in an equipment that are for under 4s, parents in the play areas where shoes should be off. One of our main reasons for visit is a safe place for our toddler to play, however the basic safety was not manage by staff.

Kids loved it. Be prepared to spend the whole day. We were there for over 3.5hrs and they still wanted to keep playing. Decent food serving sizes, pricey but enjoyable.

Place is clean, all areas only thing is is the baby area had big kids playing around the babies as it was hard for them to freely play due to the big kids being rough with equipment..We had our meals then covered our food in the hopes to go back to eat it and the food was taken away. So I mentioned to the worker she just goes oh ..We had chips,chicken nuggets and a few slices of pizza with cut mango on the side... All gone after I had explained we were going to eat that food she gives us cold chips and cut up small pieces of chicken nuggets like it was someone else's remaining food that they had never finished and that was just tossed in the bin Shocking
