Auckland Polish Association (Polish House)

We enjoyed the Polish Market Day on 15 Dec 19. The stall holders were friendly and welcoming. We bought a very tasty sourdough loaf of bread and some beautiful handcrafts. We will be keeping an eye open for any events that they may run in the future. We hope to see some performing arts (singing and dancing) at some future date.

Loved going to the Polish day. Always good to experience different communities.

Went here to participate in the Polish Christmas market as a stall holder. Had a good atmosphere and most were friendly.

They refused to make their premises available for the meeting of Polish journalist Stanisław Michalkiewicz. Shame on you!

Very friendly place where you can have a taste of European food an culture. Great polish sausage , great polish beer and other polish products.

Plenty of Polish fare to enjoy

Nice Polish place also for people from other countries where occasionally you can buy Polish delicates and other kinds of food!

A real community feel. Homely facilities. Bring yourself, not your car.

Community facility in transitional area (industrial to housing) volunteers manage the facility and they are most helpful.

It is with my great pleasure that on behalf of Friends of Ukraine – informal communities gathering from time to time to share Ukrainian identity - I greet our Polish friends renowned among Ukrainians for their hospitality and support!As you may know, the Polish Constitution adopted in 1791 was the first Constitution in Europe. We are very happy Poland has this destiny to be the first. Yet, Poland was the first to help Ukraine after Moscow full scale invasion in February 2022:•             Ukraine received military aid from Poland on the very first day of the attack and the aid has just been growing since then.•             For example, in May 2022 Poland supplied 200 tanks and dozens of infantry combat vehicles.•             Overall, amount of Polish military aid to Ukraine has exceeded 2.5 billion New Zealand dollars.A bigger share of humanitarian assistance to Ukrainians who suffered of the Russian invasion is being received from Poland too. Millions people left Ukraine for Poland and Polish people are helping them with all they can. A Polish-Ukrainian boarder is a logistics hub for humanitarian aid arriving from other countries too.We, Ukrainians in New Zealand, always find genuine support from the Polish community.
