Europcar Picton City

What a great deal! Fantastic to get a ferry bus ride to rental pick up, otherwise it could've been a long walk. Staff were super friendly, efficient, prompt & helpful on pick up. Vehicles were more than what we expected. Brand new 2023 Ford Wildtracks with all the bells and whistles and both vehicles suited our whānau perfectly for exploring Nelson and surrounding areas. Flexible to our needs for returning our vehicles after hours. Thumbs up from us

The Picton branch of Europcar is superb. I will definitely use them again. The ease from booking online to pickup to dropoff was exceptional customer service. Thanks for correcting my booking I enjoyed the larger vehicle to drive around on.

Excellent service by the Europcar staff, especially Martin. My card was not working for all sorts of reasons, eventually got it sorted, and the guys were very patient and helpful all throughout the process to help me rent a car. They were very clear on everything that was being done.

I mistakenly did not review my rental agreement and therefore didn’t see the vehicle transfer/drop off at the picton ferry prior to continuing onto north island, causing me to arrive 10 days after the date noted on my rental agreement. The manager and employee at this location were very helpful and resolved this without issue. Obviously it would have been appreciated if the initial pickup agent in Christchurch or the booking process had mentioned anything about this because realistically we don’t all comb through rental agreements unless directed to but alas that is a general Europcar issues not this particular location. We are very relieved and grateful for how this was handled.

Iain from Europcar Picton has exceptional customer service skills. Our group of 6 had previously had a terrible customer service experience with Europcar at Auckland Airport, but our experience here almost made up for it. Our booking was for a 7 seater car, but when we were struggling to fit all of our luggage into our car, Iain went out of his way to make a call for us and secured us an 8 seater vehicle with more space without us having to ask. I couldn't recommend Iain and his customer service skills enough!

We stupidly did not check our contract to see we were supposed to drop a car off in Picton and pick up a new vehicle in Wellington. We were 10 days over due to drop off in Picton and we’re taking the ferry the next morning where I had already booked a car ticket. The lady and manager working were so friendly and helpful and understanding. They made it so easy for us and just let us keep the car since I already purchased the ticket.

Worst service ever, I will never book Europcar anymore! We waited 2hrs in line at Picton Ferry Terminal just to get a car which we not booked!On Hertz, Budget and all the other terminals they work twice or three times as fast!Now I got a speed fine from NZ on which I have to pay 30$, its okay, but Europcar charged me 40$ additional administration fee automatically on my creditcar for this...CHANGE YOUR COSTUMER SERVICE IF YOU WANT TO HAVE CUSTOMERS THAT WANT TO COME BACK!

Thank you so much Mr Iain Tyler! Our Bluebridge Ferry was delayed by more than an hour, hence we arrived after the official opening hours. When we (and more than ten other customers) arrived at the Europcar offices, Mr Tyler had already prepared all paper work such that everyone received their cars quickly. Further, it was really good that he contacted me a few days earlier by mail to align on the pick-up details. Can fully recommend Europcar in Picton thanks to the great staff.
