If you like nature you will be at home here...10 dead flies on one window sill, a mouse, cobwebs when the bed was moved out from the wall, and a crowing rooster at 6am...rubbish bin got pressed down, not given a clean one, towels changed once, the first night, next two...no clean towels. Some of the group said the shower was no good (in the 3 bedroom cottage), hubby said it was fine, you just had to position the tap right, lol. Obviously the company was doing this as cheaply as possible...you likely get what you pay for.

The Glow Worm Motel is an amazing option very close to the Glow Worms Caves. The host is super friendly and he gave us great advice to explore the surrounding area. The room was great, spacious and very clean and we had a great sleep. Definitely a place I would recommend for a stop!

Very road noisy (but owner warned of that), very dated - there were several things our daughter had not seen before (box tv / old wired phone). Was warm and spacious and clean.

We found the Glow Worm Motel a comfortable, spacious and well-equipped place to stay. Nicely furnished with a modern touch.The owner was very friendly, gave us great advice about what to see in the area, and came around promptly to assist us when we needed some help with the TV.Beds were comfortable and unit was clean. Thank you very much for our pleasant stay here.Highly recommended!

Glow Worm Motel
Clean, tidy and actually quiet modernly decorated despite some reviews. We stayed in one of the family units which accommodated 5 of us. The owner was super attentive, stayed up till midnight (which is when we arrived) and even gave us a tour, recommended local spots to visit and heated our room up for us. If we end up coming back to Waitomo again we will definitely be booking here again.

Okay the grounds arnt flash BUT we got here late at night and the owner is lovely and waited for us, room was awesomly clean and had everything tired traveller's needed. Comfy beds and a great place to stay.

Roger, freindly staff, for a 50 year old place everything works, shiny, everything looks like the day it was built. Quite & peaceful place, I really enjoyed the sound of the trucks jake braking on the main road. Will definitely stay here again!
