The amazing merchandise in this store, although pricey , was completely ruined by the absolute rudeness of the shop assistant. I was attempting to email a photo I had just taken of a bull statue as I entered the store. She swooped on me and said no cameras or photos allowed" I assured her I was not about to take any photos but was attempting to send one. She then followed myself and my 3 friends around in case we sinned. My friend asked the price of a gilt frame in the window. It was $900 and she decided to purchase as it was just what she had been looking for. Said assistant didn't offer any further assistance other than following us about the store. As we approached the counter to make the purchase we made the mistake of trying to enter through the wrong door from the courtyard. Assistant in a very strident tone..said "you can't come in here". We continued on toward the store when I remarked "That lady is not very friendly." At this point she poked her head out of the door and said in a particularly nasty tone. "I heard that"We left. My friend was very disappointed that she had been put off purchasing what she had driven from Wellington to do . Neither myself

Great store with amazing second hand goods direct from France. Unfortunately the consumer experience ended badly, as the owner was extremely derogatory towards refugees and we left the shop feeling disgusted.

Awesome shop well displayed prices not bad considering what you are getting for your money. Greeted when entering shop and left to browse lots if little corners to explore.

Such an awesome antique shop, it just keeps on going and going! New and old stuff too. If only I had a bigger suitcase and bigger wallet!

Very cool shop with a huge range of things for the house, very impressed with the inventory.I was unfortunately put off from purchasing anything after a belittling comment from the employee.

Driven past many times and always wanted to look inside, lots of really nice things, much more than I expected

Really beautiful shop that was completely ruined by the lady that works there that I have since been told is the owner. We were followed around the shop so closely and felt like she thought we were going to steal something. It was the most uncomfortable feeling - we couldn't get out of there quick enough. As a retailer I understand that sadly we do have a shoplifting problem in NZ but I would never treat any potential customer they way we were treated - I wouldn't go back - which is a shame as it is a lovely shop.

WELL FRENCH & SONS in BULLS,I would not hesitate to give this business a high rating.Words cannot describe this fantastic shop of French Antiques, furniture, furnishings, artwork, artifacts of all kinds, old pieces with a mixture of new, etc.This place has it all, yes all your heart desires.A big building to walk around as there is alot to see, lovely selection, very nice family to serve you if you want any help.Prices, well l have always said you pay for what you get, sorry, expensive peices are not cheap to buy, never mind where you go.That is my opinion.Please don't take my word for it anyone passing through this lovely little town of BULLS call into FRENCH & SONS a very special antique business.Thankyou Louise.

It is a high quality shop indeed.From the interior perspective, my eyes have been captured inch my inch.The texture of the brick wall and the black paint are the great background to highlight all the charm of the collections. Great place to enjoy all the high quality pieces imported from France, see how they have been displayed beautifully. this shop brings so much vibes to this quiet little town Bulls.

Georgeous stuff in here - so much range.Super pricey though.
