Absolutely loved this place. Great food, great and very fast service. Highly recommend the light n fluffy. The seating area is beautiful with a lovely ambiance. And if that's not enough..they're byo too with a great beer selection.

Literally one of the best Malaysian restaurants I have ever been to in NZ. Every dish has a bit of surprise and the saltiness / spiciness / sweetness is just right. Soooo good!

I’ve been there twice and definitely would come back over and over again!Highly recommend this place. Food is simply amazing, full of flavor and fair (good) price. Great service as well! Glad that I found out this place!

Amazing vegan options, fantastic beer range. We had the Momo's, steamed buns, vegetable curry, rendang curry, rotis, and for dessert the banana fritters with coconut ice cream and the mango and ginger sorbet. We loved everything! It wasn't too oily as one review had said. Would definitely recommend and we will return :)

A very LOVELY restaurant, EXCEPTIONAL customer service, SUPER FRIENDLY staff, PLEASANT environment, and of course EXCELLENT food. Thanks for the lovely little birthday cake surprise :). It's really an enjoyable dinning experience to me and my wife tonight. Would definitely recommend to friends and come back again. :)

Atmosphere was great, food was ok. Everything tasted like it had flour added… Tofu had no flavour, but Beef was very good

Had a nice dinner at Mulan Malaysian Restaurant Birkenhead. Owned by Malaysian Indian Chef and the lady boss is very friendly and approachable. Can taste from the curry that it is cooked from scratch and not from commercial packaging. Lady boss said they only use coconut milk in their cooking, no diary. Laksa not very spicy, little missy had a lot of the laksa noodle by herself.. the Penang Curry also not super spicy, kids friendly too.

Authentic Malaysian food with flavours that will make your taste buds tingle. Some of the dishes really have a bit of a spicy kick. Order mains and entrées to share, so you can try many different dishes. Best to book a table, as it can be busy. Plenty of parking on main road. Excellent service
