Beautiful spot, went for a fish, caught nothing, probably won't catch anything. I do like smoked eel, don't litter. Peace

I recently found it and have really enjoyed my early morning swims, the water is so clear and seeing the little fish swimming watching the birds and dragon flies around you is Amazing the water is actually really warm where I've been swimming..

Every Time we come up north from Auckland we try and visit as many places exploring upper north and always pit stop at Lake Ngatu for the kids to swim and enjoy.

Most peaceful and calm early morning. Real outdoor people out there in the morning to enjoy kayaking, canoeing , hiking and trail running. Great location for wild life photography.During the daytime be mindful with people smoking around their family and kids. If you don’t smoke and you don’t like smelling stay away from smokers.
