Easy accessed peak on the way to, or from, Mt Cargill. Note, however, that on New Zealand topographic maps, it is named BUTTARS PEAK (even though the sign on the trail/track says Butters Peak). Height is 617 m. Great 360-degree views and views west to Mt Cargill.

It's a good wee spot to sit down for a coffee and lunch. Easy access, and great views over the city and surrounding areas.

This impressive Peak is an impressive feature of Mt Cargill and is accessible from Bethunes Gully in North East Valley or from the old Waitati Road from the city.
