We ordered the fried chicken, fried calamari and clam chowder! It was all delicious! Great place to hang out!

Booked here for a private function. The food was delicious and the location is great being so central, but the staff couldn't be bothered being there and weren’t afraid to show it (this was commented on to me by several attendees throughout the evening), and we were very much ‘kicked out’ with facial expressions and hand gestures to match. With the amount of money the function (not to mention myself personally) had spent an extra couple of minutes to finish conversations and exit would have been far more appropriate! Won’t be rebooking here again in a hurry….this was in stark contrast to Smash Palace where we went afterwards who had closed the gates and already called last orders but we were welcomed in and allowed to finish our drinks respectfully and leave when we wanted to - after only having paid for one drink each and not spent $1000’s. That’s service!

Went to the Dux for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the live music and cosy atmosphere in the lounge.Pizza deal on Sunday was great and the fries were hot and crispy.The Manager was awesome and responsive, fixed our problem with one of the staff on the pass, which made us give such a good review.We would recommend and will be back.

Are you looking for a bar that:-Is overpriced?-Under pours beers?-And don’t train their staff?Well Dux Central Brew Bar is the place for you!Went up to the bar to order a drink. I asked the bar tender if any of the beers on tap were ones brewed by Dux themselves. He said he didn’t know, he had just started, and that he’d have to check with someone. Then he just awkwardly stood there. When it became apparent he wasn’t actually going to check with anyone, I decided to order one of the beers on tap anyway. He passed me the poured beer however it must have been at least 3cm too short. Lots of loose foam on the top of the beer. I asked him that I didn’t like that much head on my beer, and he replied - and I quote “we’re cracking down on that type of stuff”. I looked at him weirdly and he graciously added another centimetre onto the beer - still lots of loose foam ontop.It may seem petty but when you are spending over $28 for a bowl of fires and a beer - the least Dux could do is actually pour and fill glasses properly.I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone

Dux Central has a nice pub-style atmosphere and is cosy on colder nights with good outdoor heating as well. The service is prompt and friendly, the food is pretty good and fairly priced. They have a very large selection of beers and ciders in their refrigerator “library” which looks awesome.

The place seems really nice, it’s my first time here, I come with friends in the happy hour (4-6pm), my friends ordered at 5:58/5:59pm they got the discount and I didn’t because it was exactly 6pmIt’s not a big deal cause I have my lovely beer anyway but I felt the stuff was a little rude/funny about that.If you go there make sure you go on time ;)

Had a brilliant dinner tonight at Dux; the beef cheeks were amazing. Especially loved the way they presented and flavoured the vege medley. Finished off the meal nicely with the sticky date pudding. Really impressed with our lovely waitress, who was friendly and attentive. Thanks for a great night, delicious food and fabulous service.

Love this place! We come from Singapore for a company trip and decided to have our last dinner in New Zealand here. Turns out that it was a good decision! Foods are on point. Services are good and friendly. Vibes are very fun and all. Recommended: the roasted pork belly, fish tacos, and seafood chowder!

We couldn’t walk by this sign. We went and got a beer before dinner. They have a nice selection of beers and the bar tender let us taste a new cold ipa before ordering. That is what we ordered it was good and we would go back
