The supreme rijsttafel is superb! Delicious food, great hospitality, love the ambience too. Will definitely visit again when we are in Napier.

An easy 5 stars this one the moment you walk through the door you are grated with the most friendly and warm service that continues until you walk out again. In between youll be treat to some of the most delicious and flavoursome food you could hope to find. I absolutely loved the Nasi Goreng Rendang Special. Do your taste buds a flavour favour, and come and experience the delights Restaurant Indonesia has to offer.

So delicious. Never had rijsttafel before but it was an immediate “yes please” when we saw the menu/concept. What a great way to try many different dishes, at a reasonable price. Nice relaxed atmosphere, friendly, comforting. Authentic food, we felt like part of the family. Very glad we stopped in on the way past on the off chance of getting a table. Oh and the home-made sambal is amazing (and you can buy some to take home - which we did).

Absolutely amazed and delighted that we dined here on our trip to Napier. The service, cuisine and the overall experience was outstanding.The hosts were attentive and engaging with stories about the decor. The opening crackers and sambal were a delightful surprise.After the Rijsttafel which is the 11 course experience we received a complentary dessert which was light and refreshing.

Awesome Indon food in NZ! My best meal yet!We visited the resto on our first day at Napier (3A2C) and had the Ultimate Rijsttafel and the seafood one, as well as a nasi goreng and an entrée (Soto Ayam). Every dish was impressive with the level of spices (it’s the fragrance of the herbs and spices added, not so much of spicy hot).Kudos to the owners for such effort and service!

Came for dinner on New years eve. Vivi was nice enough to squeeze us in. The food takes you on a journey across some of the regions in Indonesia, including bali and Jakarta. Awesome service and amazing food. I can say this is the best, unique Indonesian restaurant in NZ

Came here a couple of months ago for my birthday having driven past on a number of occasions and been intrigued. The staff were super welcoming and keen to share the food and culture of Indonesia. We opted for a bit of everything and it was amazing to try so many different foods from the islands. The highlight for us was the black sticky rice. Absolutely phenomenal, different but without a shadow of a doubt the best dessert we've had in years. So much so that I wrote this review as I'd been thinking about it 2 months on. Definitely worth a visit, one of Napier's best restaurants in our humble opinion.

Absolutely incredible!Have dined here many times and the experience is always the same - top notch service of delicious indonesian cuisine in a lovely cozy atmosphere.The team at Restaurant Indonesia are always so friendly & accommodating, cannot recommend more highly!
