our first home was built in 5 months with no issues, great quality checks, excellent project management and amazing constant communication with the project coordinator. it;s been a enjoyable journey and we would highly recommend working with them. Andrew- the project Manager is the best!

Zb homes Tauranga is an interesting bunch of folks. They promise you unicorns and rainbows but when it comes to execution it’s the whole different story. You really have to put your foot down to get what you pay for. And when you get it you realize there’s no unicorns just an overpriced donkey with a horn on its forehead. They like to come up with “out of nowhere” invoices ($50k worth in our case…for ground works apparently…received several months after we started the build…no heads up or consultation whatsoever). And when you ask for a quotation and other supporting documentation, NO CAN DO SIR and LOST DURING TRANSITION or even ugly eye looks are the answer. I must say that 7 months, two lawyers and several hair growth supplement packets later, ZB got us of their backs and the other way round – partially of course. Oh and got to mention the enjoyable experience of having power and hot water free week in the middle of winter ‘17 (8 months after we moved in). Just because the main power cable was damaged by the ground works. Everyone knew but the good old kiwi “she be alright” sorted it out. If you have a thinning hairline and care about what you get for your dollar DON’T go with ZB because you will go bold and broke – it’s our neighborhood motto.

So thrilled with our ZB Homes build - 3 bed home plus a 1 bedroom apartment. Beautifully built and finished.
