Parry Kauri Park
Short but beautiful walk through the forest on a walkway. Very peaceful and impressive to walk among the ancient trees.

Great freedom camping spot in the car park for 2 nights.... safe but can get busy during the day. The bush walk is nice enough and the big Kauri tree is visible at the car park. The museum is worth a look and reasonably priced.

What a great place. An interesting small museum and paths to wander through the Kauri trees, there are lots, so tall and straight. Bird song all day. Large parking area.

A very fine location. What Kauri die back. New boardwalk looks expensive. Self contained parking for the night. Flock of Kaka. Museum to boot. If it was next to the beach it would be perfect. Actually the beach would be more of a hazzard to Kauri than die back.

Scenery is outstanding, most of the steps had handrails which was very good. Kew it was boardwalk, but wasn't aware how many steps there were before doing it or I wouldn't have done it. Looks like they are upgrading the boardwalk.

Have experienced many woodland walks in New Zealand, but this human-made walk takes you along, down, up, and around in the deepest parts of a natural N.Z. forest you could ever experience. Well worth the effort.

A delightful easy walk through some of our native giants close to Auckland. The boardwalk is well maintained and set out in a loop, but be warned there are lots of stairs so not good for pushchairs or less able people. The museum is a cute place full of local history.

Wonderful walk. We did a short loop walk but missed the museum. There were lovely native plants for sale.

Have loved this park for the last 25 years and unlike many places it’s aged very well and is so well cared for. Most recent trip was sharing the amazing park with my little person who had a great time on the walk. Lots of stairs so if you are mobility impaired it’s probably not the walk for you but trees are well signposted which we enjoyed.

It's a short but excellent walking path. As usual, it's a pest-free walk path to prevent kauri dieback infection. At the beginning of the path, you can see two of the most aged kauri tree (800 years old and 600 years old), along with the path, keeping quiet, and you can hear various birds singing around you. Try to take a deep breath; it is a tiny, well-maintained walk path.
