Wild Pear Kitchen is more than a plant-based cafe - it has spontaneously created a community of people seeking food that is fresh and alive.The New Plymouth cafe has tasty soups (the Thai pumpkin is the best I’ve ever tasted), a medley of fresh and colourful salads and delicious baked dishes (always changing) for vegans, vegetarians and people seeking healthy food options.The welcoming staff make you feel like you’ve come home for breakfast, lunch or just popped in for a coffee, hot chocolate or smoothie. For a treat, try a vegan donut, lamington or cheesecake - they are divine. This is easily my favourite cafe in Taranaki and in Aotearoa (New Zealand), not that I’ve been everywhere.

Wild pear kitchen is my favourite cafē in New Plymouth by far!! The food never fails to disappoint and always makes me come back for more, the breakfast menu by far is my favourite thing about this little gem of a shop, would recommend to anyone and everyone wanting to eat clean good soul food!!

My goodness where do I start, firstly as soon as you walk into this beautiful cafe it’s instant smiles and a hello. Always welcomed with incredible service and never have to wait long even if it’s a busy time. The food is absolutely delicious every single time. And my partner says the coffee is the best he has ever had in Taranaki. Love how the food is so fresh and beautifully presented. We travel from out of town to come well worth it x

If you are looking for vegan options then THIS IS YOUR PLACE! The food is amazing and I am only sorry that I ordered to take away because the vibe seemed awesome too. The big hot bowl is enough food for two people and honestly, everything that I ordered tasted divine. I’ll definitely be coming back every time I am in NP.

Soo many tasty vegan options and incredible desserts. Loved it.I got a mixed lunch bowl with 3 picks of their hot/cold salads (chickpea curry, jackfruit & black beans, beetroot salad) as well as a vegan cheesecake.

Wild Pear is THE BEST Cafe ever. Amazing food and such a beautiful variety. The staff are fabulous, always happy and friendly and cater to all our needs.Love them!
