New wine bar and stylish eatery in the town square. There are plenty of tables, inside and out and the place was virtually empty on our walk-in arrival at 6pm on the Monday after Toast Martinborough. This was surprising as the website said no reservations available until 8:30 pm - a point to note for the management and potential customers!The food was of a very high standard and the wine list superb. We had 2 starters: burrata and salmon pastrami. Both were immaculately presented and very flavoursome. We shared mains of venison and roasted aubergine salad. Both excellent (see photos). Dessert was “Erin Mess” and manuka and pear sticky pudding. Both very tasty and quite individual in their design.Wines were Stad-ko Rosé - an individual and interestingly characterful accompaniment to them starters; then a superb Gamay, produced in the traditional way by a family producer in Maraetotara in Hawkes Bay (Easthope) and an Alexander Pinot Noir, which matched the venison well and proved a finely characterised Pinot Noir that would easily challenge those from Central Otago.This new kid on the Martinborough block raises the bar for local cuisine and deserves a return visit .

First time we have been here and absolutely beautiful place. Staff were great, food was amazing and atmosphere was chic. Not too loud that you couldnt talk but you also couldnt hear the neighboring tableHighly recommend

Lovely place, great tasty food and drinks, tapas style, friendly staff. The Mushroom parfait, pulled pork croquettes and the lamb tagine were outstanding!

We had a brilliant Mother's Day celebration lunch, beautiful and delightfully served meal. Service was above and beyond what can sometimes be expected. Our wine matched our main course perfectly. Sitting outside in the sun on a perfect Martinborough day was truly memorable. Thank you.

Great food, good wine list, unfortunately not all wines listed were available. Boccocini and heirloom tomato entree was the one let down - missing a wow factor that every other dish had. Duck and Venison mains were tender and delicious.

Wow! The food was outstanding, the group had a mixture of entrees cannelloni, cured salmon and the burratta charred sourdough dish were all delicious and the mains of the perfectly cooked venison and lamb with a couple of side dishes. They are good sized portions we could t fit it dessert which also looked amazing coming from the kitchen.

Beautiful dinner and service in a gorgeous setting, right in the heart of Martinborough.We shared the pork belly to start and dined on the venison and lamb. The meals were so delicious, elegantly put together and presented beautifully. The service and ambience was top notch and, the Eton mess to finish was beautiful.Highly recommend this restaurant in Martinborough for a delicious dinner with local produce and seasonal ingredients.
