Lara photographed our wedding back in November, and the experience was just fantastic. The photographs are outstanding, and we love looking back over them to remind ourselves of the day. We had no idea what we wanted, but she was so helpful, gave us advice on what we needed, where we should go, timings etc…. She is friendly and easygoing, and the photos are beautiful. We cannot recommend Lara & Soul Sisters more highly.

Lara is a simply amazing photographer ! She has done 7 photo shoots for us, starting with our engagement shoot and most recently family photos after our second child was born. Each time I have a vision in my head for how I imagine the photos will look and Lara manages to make them look even more beautiful. Lara is such a special person and even if you’ve never met her you’ll feel like you’ve known her for years!

We invited Lara into our home to capture some candid moments together with our one year old.After months of rescheduling due to New Zealand winter weather, when the day finally came, Lara was not only kind and calm in her approach but also incredibly diligent.The shots from the hour we spent together were nothing short of exceptional (no exaggeration). My husband and I spent weeks deciding on which were our favourites as there was such depth and variety in everything Lara captured.For someone entrusted in capturing the most precious days / moments in a couple / family's life, Lara embodies everything we'd wish for.Absolutely cannot recommend Lara enough for the job!

Lara is such a pro. I've been to a few weddings where Lara was the wedding photographer (it seems she keeps getting picked up time and time again once a bride and groom hire her - which goes to show her professionalism and the fact people refer here by word of mouth). I hate being in front of the lens but she makes you feel at ease. After seeing those shots we booked Lara in for a photoshoot for one of our grandparents of all the grandkids. We're talking a tribe from 2 months old to 12 years old at that time. The shoot was so easy, no time wasting and she got some amazing shots of all the kids without them being scratchy. Lara also referred us on the a canvas printer to have one of the shots used as a gift, it was a really easy process and she didn't try to upsell, just answered questions and gave us good advice. It's always a bonus if you're adding a great human being to your special day. Would use Lara again for anything photography related and happily recommend to anyone considering working with her.

We had Lara photograph our wedding in 2022 and our photo's turned out to be exceptional! We had two culturally different weddings - an Indian and a Sri Lankan wedding - and Lara was able to capture the cultures of both weddings perfectly. She captured the brightness and vividness of our Indian culture and the softness/soberness of our Sri Lankan rituals.Lara brought a lot of fun energy to our day, and made us feel completely comfortable and ease. She is extremely friendly, kind and has the most loving personality. She was loved by our family, friends and all the guests. We felt like we were being photographed by a very close friend! She was a great communicator throughout the planning process and easily liased with all our vendors.Our photo's are perfect and more than what we could have ever wanted! We're extremely grateful that we hired Lara to be our photographer. Thanks to her, we have so many beautiful memories!

Lara is a phenomenal photographer! She makes everyone really relaxed and has so many amazing suggestions for shots that you end up with a trove of great ones! I couldn't believe that we got a sneak peek the day after our wedding when we knew she had another the next day!
