Birdies Cafe

Without a doubt this cafe has serious food yuminess going on!I rat this 5 out of 5 for the following reasons;Food; It's quite rare that I give a cafe'especially a Cafe'that I have never visited before, in a small/city of country New Zealand. This was one of those rare occasions where I honestly thought my tummy will pop if I continue to eat another bite.Seriously though, the cheese and bacon scones are described as epic! Home baking taken to a whole new level of fabulousness.From the hot food, cappuchino's, to the delicious sweet treats - they are undeniably one of the most stand-out producers of home-baked goods in the upper Northern parts of New Zealand, if not arguably being the best in the North Island.Service; Like the food, service is friendly, welcoming and served in good time.Cleanliness; Clean place, really clean actually.Value for money; I think this has got to be the most value for money place/cafe'in Aotearoa, NZ, due to the fact that I paid nothing -jokes, it was a shout :):). However, I know the prices are in alignment with all other cafe's in the area.Overall, will be heading back to this place for scones, sweet treats and coffee next time I am in town.Thanks guys, please keep doing what you are doing-I and Kaitaia and ex-pats returning home, are reminded why Aotearoa, NZ is ultimately one of the best food havens in the world.

Customer service could have come with a smile. Always good to make people of all races feel comfortable , people want to come back then and then they tell their friends and so on. Food presentation boring

I love them for their huge bowl of wedges, just $8.50 I think, last time I went around. A dollop of sourcream and sweet chili sauce. Sometimes it takes a whilefor them to get to you and serve yohr order, but they usually have good food. Servers and workers usually are serious and dont smile as you walk in or are being served by them.You can also either eat inside or outside, but there are no umbrellas outside so get ready for either a tan or lobster red skin after a visit there.

Nice local cafe with a good range of food, cooked to order. Good sized milkshakes, and everything reasonably priced too. Nice service and we were so happy to see this Kaitaia cafe had coconut milk available for coffee (also had soy and almond available). The coffee was good and they had a super big takeaway size available as well

Great friendly staff, the best egg Benedict in Northland, and the rest of the food is also top notch. Brilliant coffee served with a smile. Always look forward having breakfast there.

Nice food. Have been going here on and off for years. Can get a bit noisy when inside with the coffee machine running, bit otherwise quite nice.

Staff friendly but forgetable. Coffee 6/10. All 3 food items ive had so far were well portioned and great food. I would go elsewhere for coffee but i keep going back for their food.

The qualty of food has gone down from previous times i was in. I had to send my eggs on toast back because they were overcooked and werent even presentable.The toast was dry and they only sent me one butter for 2 slices of toast.The bottom of the eggs had black all over them and it looks like grill or pan wasn't cleaned before cooking them.Coffee was good. I apoligize for bad review but the food was terrible.
