Evans Bay Marina Self Contained Camping
Free camping spot. Loads of spaces but still very busy and fills up quick. One toilet out of order so only 1 toilet for many campers but still good enough. Easy to get the bus in and out of the city. Felt safe. Would recommend

Very busy, lots of non self contained vans but there are toilets. We are all packed close together but everyone was very respectful and aware of people's space. It's nice to see young people getting out there. They are our future mowvanners

Beautiful parking lot, but it's busy for self-contained cars. In the afternoon, it is almost impossible to find free spot.New and clean toilets.

Such a busy place, with lots of campers coming & going. Great location in Wellington, close to the ferry. Really good, clean toilets, x 2 with wheelchair acess. Get in early if you can, to get a park space.

not a bad spot for a quick one nighter given that it's free. I wouldn't plan to stay here long as it is just a carpark at the marina & was quite windy. there are flushing toilets which is a bonus, however be careful what you throw out as I found locals trawling through the bins.

Evans Bay Marina Self Contained Camping
Excellent freedom camping in Wellington. Two blocks of two toilets (one on the corner and the other in the marina). With paper and soap! The is also fresh water and a dump for campers. The limit of 7 meters is not checked so larger campers can use it too. At the end of the day the campground is full.We had bikes and it is an pleasant/easy ride via a bike lane to the center.

Great freecamp spot. Spaces free until early pm everyday (May) then its a lucky dip. Toilets were in good condition and dump station nearby. 75 cents to get the bus to town or an hours walk

Evans Bay Marina Self Contained Camping
Lots of spaces but they full up quick. Nice toilets. Received a ticket for not being self contained certified although we are and have the paperwork and sticker. Pretty annoyed
