Hireace - Christchurch

We hired the large cargo van to move house and it was fabulous! The van ran beautifully, was easy to drive and was very clean. The price was really good. The crew at Hireace were helpful and made sure our van worked well before we left. Will definitely come back for our future van/truck hire needs.

Great service at a good price. I have hired moving trucks from Hireace many times in Christchurch, Auckland and Wellington over the years. Pick up and drop off is always quick and hassle free.

Hired a truck to go up to Auckland and move furniture down to Christchurch. Truck performed well and had good capacity. On the way back just before kaikoura one rear tyre blew out luckily someone I knew was following me and called to let me know. Unfortunately no one could come and help plus the spare tyre was useless as it wasnt the correct size. (I didnt want to risk driving on the remaining tyre as it had cracks on the tyre wall) I was towed to kaikoura after a 3 hour wait and waited to the next day to buy a new tyre. I was told I would be paid back. Once back in chch I went to bridgestone to retoque the wheel as told by the tyre shop, unloaded and dropped the truck back on time. I left the invoice for the tyre but had to ring a week later to get follow up the refund which then took a few more days annoyingly. No one cared I had even went to retoque the wheel for safety for the next driver. Overall the truck was good and this is the 2nd time I have rented a truck from here. Just wish they would rememburse more sooner without having to follow up.

Bad experience, wouldn't recommend.My husband and I made a booking for a work trip and needed a specific vehicle and because of this we called them to ensure we would get the vehicle we needed (not the 'or other' option). We were not worried about the cost, we just wanted to make sure we were able to use it for what was needed.When we arrived they did not supply the vehicle that was discussed, they were extremely rude and offered no solution. When trying to resolve this amicably the manager was rude and would not let us get a word in without talking over top.I would not hire from here again

Booking was easy, with a call telling me the size I had booked was unavailable but could have a larger truck for the same price. The guys were helpful and friendly when I picked up the truck reviewing its operation. Off I went. Easy to drive and operate. A minor issue when I returned as they could not find the paperwork but a few laughs later ( I suggested hire might be free) the paper and details were found and again I was on my way.

Excellent service and very reasonable rental rates. All the staff have always been most helpful and friendly. The trailer I rented was ready on time and in very good condition. I highly recommend Hireace Hornby.

I would recommend to anyone. Hired a furniture moving truck. Easy online booking, the guys at the depot knew their stuff and the truck had a brilliant heater. Only issue was the hydraulic lift gate wasn't aligned properly and was a PITA to slide back into place after using.

Every moved I've made, Hireace Hornby Christchurch is awesome, I never looked to another company than Hireace. Everything was smooth from pick up and to drop off.Booking was a breeze and without exception all the staff were friendly and were brilliant to deal with. If I had only known how helpful the staff at Hireace Christchurch would be, I would have rented from them earlier and more often. First, online booking was a breeze with a firm quote and a guaranteed booking. Arriving on the day to pick up the moving truck sold me on renting from Hireace as staff walked me through the paperwork and my needs for the upcoming move. Fantastic assistance and staff uncovered a better price for the rental! Definitely returning for the next move!
