Geoconsult Auckland - Geotechnical Engineers

I would put zero star if I can.Their engineer has NEVER visited the site and decided that the house has critical problems and suggested a solution that would cost a new built to fix. Not only did the report departed significantly from the original letter of engagement, they also refused to change. All of this can be avoided if they come on site to actually see the house. If the house is truly in so much trouble as stated in the report, there should be visible signs which there is none.The report itself is riddled with mistakes and poorly written. Unprofessional and would not recommend to anyone.

We've worked with Bryce and the Geoconsult team for many years now, both professionally and most recently on our own home development. Geoconsult were asked for a proposed slip remediation. Under the Proposed Remedial Works section of their report they wrote We have not been supplied with any formal drawings for the proposed works". That is what we engaged them for and what they supplied was absolutely useless to us. We got a very detailed technical report

We have used geotech for personal use but also professionally with our company Macreadie Builders for many years. Most recently we have engaged them for a slip that we are still working on at our personal home as we know they are the best out there. Our clients have never been dissapointed and neither have we. They have been nothing but brilliant throughout the years of using them. They are professional, knowledgeable with great clear communication. We would highly recommend using Geo techs services.

Jacob and the team at GeoConsult have been amazing to work with on our project post the cyclone in Auckland. They guided us through the process and worked as a trusted advisor to explore a range of options to keep the remediation manageable despite a challenging site. I’ve worked with similar companies before and often these processes are very hands off with limited engagement until a report lands in the end but my experience with GeoConsult was completely the opposite… Jacob made himself available throughout the process and was regularly and proactively in contact to talk through options including attending site where needed. Jacob also gave us really early visibility of what his recommendations would be so there were no surprises at the end of the process. Definitely my go to company and wouldn’t hesitate recommending Jacob and team. First class experience!

I can highly recommend the team Geoconsult - we have a project currently in build, got a pre-build ground report done, detailed soil report with bores, good com's through the build and prompt inspections, with flexibility on short notice changes & requests. No issues.

As an architect we have worked with Bryce and his team on a number of projects and have found that their investigations and reporting has been very thorough and a good basis for the structural engineers to then do their thing. Will happily use them again.

We are an Architectural Design practice and have been using Geoconsult, Bryce and his team, for a number of years, we have used their expertise on individual Houses as well as subdivisions, they are currently involved in a subdivision we are working on. We also have them involved, on a clients behalf, in a large slip on a cliff edge property. I know we, and our Engineers, can always rely their work and analysis at any time.

We had a work done by that company Auckland brunch recently. The engineer emailed us the invoice and said the paper is ready to release upon the payment received. We paid the invoice on the same day as forwarded by our project manager. But the engineer did not release the paper to us. I spoke to the engineer after a week of the payment been made regarding that matter. The engineer hung up my phone rudely.I highly not recommend that company if you can find other choices.
