Had such a great day here with the family. We arrived at 1, just missing the 1pm train ride, but it took a good 2 hours to go around the village looking at everything, and then we took the 3pm ride. The train ride was great - our small boys loved it !There is plenty to do here - lots of heritage buildings and great detail about their histories. When we visited we were the only people in the entire park, so it was quite magical.I recommend that you allow at least 2-3 hours to check out everything in the village. Cost is very reasonable - I think we paid about $24 for two adults and two kids, including a train ride (two laps of the entire village). They have eftpos and a cafe, so no need to bring cash or food.

Fantastic place to visit! Well worth the stop in. It's a beautiful place, well maintained and fun to look through! Schools, prison, butcher, barber, 3 or 4 historic houses, blacksmith, doctor, hospital.... Absolutely incredible! We loved the wee train ride at the beginning and feeding the chickens was a lovely wee treat! They have an amazing cafe on site too, beautifully cooked food, would absolutely recommend grabbing a bite there!

Loved the train ride & seeing all the old buildings inside & out. The cafe was great too. The grandkids enjoyed it too. They had been before & wanted to take us. Well worth a visit.

Step back in time ...spent about an hour and a half looking round and going on the train ride...totally enjoyed it ....Is it something I would do again ...No ...But it is a must go see at least once ...

I wasn't at pioneer village. I took my friend to Shakee Pear at pioneer village and it was, to say the least, TERRIBLE!
