Okiwi Bay Holiday Park & Convenience Store
Three friends and I stayed here while competing in the Kiwi Brevette 2017. We had booked in advance and found Ian very helpful in assisting with our planning. On the day we were due to arrive he rang and asked how we were going and followed us on Maprogress. We were late, arriving in the dark and rain. He and Pam opened the shop well after closing time and made us very welcome. Our room was ideal for our needs and the communal kitchen and ablutions were clean and well equipped. Before our departure the next morning Ian gave us a good brief on the conditions we would encounter on the next leg. Excellent experience!

Out of the way site. Perfect if you love fishing by boat or canoe. Good showers (no money required), shop on site, all clean and tidy. There are some Sand Flies so cream up.

Stayed one night in July 2020. Hosts were friendly and helpful with tips for the surrounding area. Camp is basic but clean with all facilities open to the outdoors so a bit cold in winter. While they offer unlimited wifi, it only works near the facilities block, FYI.

Clean and tidy facilities, set back from the beach but within 2 mins walk. Our cabin was tidy and the communication with Pam and Ian was prompt and clear. Thanks for going out of your way to make us feel welcome.

Didn’t use the campsite as we were staying at a bach nearby, but the shop was so handy and had such a huge range of food and general supplies. What a boon to a wee community like this.

We spent 3 nights in this idyllic spot, about an hour and a half from Blenheim. Monty and Pam really have thought of everything. Well stocked shop with all your fishing gear as well. NPD on site, with comparable rates to town. All amenities incl bbq, kitchen, laundry, sensor lights. Shower price included in rate. Numbered boat parking spots, dump station, boat wash with muffs. Fishing advice for free. Kids playground just around the corner.
