The hostel is OK but nothing more.Pro's - it's clean, not to expensive, location is quite central.Con's - it's not charming, the rooms have no windows and there is very little space

Cheap. Good hot showers, decent WiFi, quality sleep to be fair.No alcohol policy though and kitchen can be pretty busy, especially with only 4 hobs and no oven. But it is cheap.

I stayed for two nights in the single room. The lodge is a bit further from the city centre, but still within walking distance. Not much noise from outside, but you could hear people talking in the corridors. Had everything you need; a place to sleep, get washed, and cook. The kitchen was open 24/7 and the showers and toilets were clean. Hair in the bed seems to be a common occurrence here, though. The staff were friendly and accommodating and you can leave your luggage there even after you check out. The wifi was good. Basically, it was decent for a place to rest your head, but if you're picky about where you sleep, then look elsewhere.

Very nice hostel! Good location, could walk to the main places easily. Nice and helpful stuff. Great, big kitchen with everything needed. Quite clean as well. Lockers are big enough to put all the valuables in... like computer etc. Would have preferred lockable doors for the rooms otherwise in the daytime you can't be sure who will come in, but probably NZ people are too nice to steal something anyways.

The room was ok, bit small. The kitchen was really small and the hostel was busy so was hard to try cook. Felt a bit prison like to be honest, and the area really wasn’t that nice! Other than that, staff friendly and the room was clean enough was ok short term!

Quiet and calm. Close to queen's Street. Straight off motorway. No alcohol allowed. Smaller communal area and kitchen so can get crowded at times. No windows in rooms so expect hot night although they do have fans in the room. Would recommend to anyone planning to stay in Auckland, cheap so could stay for longer period.

Friendly and accommodating service at the front desk. A six bed dorm with a window was comfortable and the private individual showers nice. My main complaint is that all of the freezers and fridges were overflowing with expired food from long gone guests and the entire place was long overdue for a deep clean. Finding space for frozen food was impossible the two weeks I was here.

I liked it here. The shared area is great for meeting the other people thanks to the kitchen and the living room. I stayed in a mixed room without windows. There's a small locker where you can put your valuables (there's a key and you can put a lock too). There are several shower rooms and also toilets. There's a laundry room, 3$ for washing, 3$ drying. The location is good too. Near some Asian restaurants and also bars.

Very good value for money! professional and friendly managers, excellent location, shared lounge gets all day sun and very comfortable! Stayed there multiple times and will go back again when I'm in Auckland next :)
