.(11/2017)Located next to the transmission tower, this beautiful lookout can be easily spotted from the roadside.There is 2 minute walk to the lookout location and directions are provided from the parking location.The view of Auckland city is amazing from this corner of the Scenic drive. One can easily spot Sky Tower and Harbour Bridge.Seating and benches are provided at regular distances for taking rest and enjoying the views.Public restrooms are not available.Ample parking space. Wheelchair parking is available and entrance is wheelchair accessible.Worth visiting on a sunny day for a clear view.

Parkinson Lookout
This has to be the highest east facing spot in Auckland, with good distant views of the city and suburbs on a clear day. One or two trees getting a bit tall and starting to hinder the view but overall still a worthwhile experience.Only 2 minutes to the lookout from the roadside parking, the track down to the lookout manageable for most, starting to need some maintenance though.

Awesome place and great views to the city. A short 5 minute walk is needed to reach the lookout from the car park. This is nearby the TV transmission tower on the Waitakere ranges.

So Beautiful at night can see the sky tower and Auckland Bridge car park area is been done up small ground and bush-walk kids-will like this place dogs not really but can bring them there no toilet and rubbish bin
