Aotearoa Surf Eco Pods & Glamping @ Te Arai

These unique Eco Pods had amazing views across the rolling hills and out to the sea and surrounding Islands. It had really comfortable bed and clean and tidy amenities (Seperate Kitchen and Bathroom Pods). Very peaceful setting and Che was really responsive to my messages. If we were in the area again we would definitely stay here again.

Little message to say we loved our stay. 2 nights in the pod and woke to watch the sunrise - so worth it. Bring all your own food- even coffee etc. Stunning views and such a gorgeous quiet spot with lovely gardens. I'll be bringing my parents when they visit New Zealand from Ireland in September :)

Took a break from hiking the Te Araroa trail and spent the last 5 days at the Aotearoa Surf School and Accommodations. Che and the team have set up a place to both relax and spend time surfing. Lots of great coaches, great facilities, amazing views! We did the 5 night surf and stay package and had a really good time. It was the first time my wife really ever tried to surf, so it was great to see her give it her all!

The eco pods were great. Very compact but clean and had everything you needed. The shared kitchen and bathroom facilities were clean and well appointed.Spectacular sea views across rolling farm lands. Most gorgeous sunrise and sunsets.Extra wonderful that the accommodation is dog friendly - so great to be able to take the dog too.Excellent comms from Che.We will be back - great break from AucklandOne thing - would be good to have solar lights that come on at the back of the pods so the route to the bathroom is lit and feels safer ::)

The view from the property is amazing, in the morning, the cloud forms different pictures. In the night, milky-way is just above your head! We are a group of 4 families, they have a group dining area called Stage, suits us perfectly for Christmas Eve and Christmas day. Our kids enjoyed the surf lessons. We enjoyed our stay and I will definitely come back with my family.

This place is a hidden gem for sure. The pods are nice and clean. The view is incredible. The property it’s on is lovely. And there is a surf shop on property. Just a few minuets drive to a few good beaches. I truly love this place.

This place is a real treasure! Situated on a hillside with the view over rolling hills and the ocean within close proximity to Te Arai Beach, Forestry and Mangawhai Heads Beach. We came over for a couple 5 day stay and surf. The facilities were great, highlights were large and comfy beds, TV, well-equipped kitchen, showers with good pressure, outside warm showers, beautiful exotic garden and 'Stage' area for barbeque. Oh, they are also dog friendly!The staff were super friendly, a special shout out to Corne and Jan for being fantastic coaches.We were pretty unlucky with the weather but we look forward to visiting Aotearoa Surf next year, hopefully in more sunny conditions :)Thank you Team,Eva and Pawel

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. They have style and grace when dealing with complaints and resolving any concerns. The views are out of this world. They have tropical birds on site which make you feel like you in Bali is breathtaking.Thank you Aotearoa surf for a beautiful vacation!

What a beautiful place! Had a great few nights stay while my daughter was on the Ultimate Kids Surf Camp. A real retreat with tropical planting and gorgeous sunsets to match. Eco pods were very clean and had everything you would need. Perfect place to relax after surfing or exploring the area. Daughter had a blast at camp, was taught how to surf by some great coaching staff, and made some good friends in the process. Can't wait to make it back here, thanks to Che and team

We had an incredible stay at the Aotearoa Surf Eco Pods. The view was stunning, the facilities were clean and tidy and the pod itself was super comfy. Would recommend booking in a surf lesson to experience the full package.
