Got a pie heated from the cabinet, they microwaved it which was disappointing. On top of that it tasted freezer burnt, so it went in the bin after 2 bites. Worst $6 pie I've ever had.

Had loads of Gluten free food on the menu. Cooked in a seperate frier. I had chicken nuggets and chips. Fairly basic food but exactly what i needed at the time. Also have milkshakes made with non dairy milk

I stopped on the way South for a bite to eat. Cheese and mushroom toasted sandwich. Never been there before and thought this is a nice place. Stopped there today on the way back. Had a milk shake today as well. Jolly good all round. A quintescential kiwi Cafe. I will return for sure.

Awful food and drinks and everything served in disposable cups/boxes.Husband ordered egg benedict and iced mocha. Eggs very overdone and ice mocha was iced coffee. He was given no cutlery and had to ask a very indifferent staff member for it.I had a toasted sandwich and iced coffee. Toastie was ok but limited choices for fillings. Iced coffee was just weak milky coffee with ice cubes. Had asked for whipped cream (as did my husband). Neither of us had whipped cream.Daughter got iced chocolates. They tasted weird, texture was grainy (split?) and the colour was almost orange. One daughter had a hot dog; was ok. The other one had chicken nuggets and chips. They tasted ok but she got only 3 nuggets.

Don't stop here. The cafe is a very sad place with no effort put into its appearance or comfort. Even though I was the only customer when I called in, the server still forgot my coffee order! And then when the coffee did arrive, it was awful. It was just a hot milky drink with barely a hint of coffee. The piece of lolly slice was nice, but that looked bought in rather than made at the cafe. I'll never come here again.

Stopped for 2x takeout coffee… neither are drinkable over extracted & entirely burnt. Too late to go back & get our money back.
