Motel on Carroll
Normally I don’t leave reviews but I wouldn’t recommend this place. Price is way to much for the amenities when you can get something else allot better for a similar price. This place had allot of shady people hanging around it who seemed to be drinking all day. Was incredibly noisy throughout the night from people arguing and had drunk people at 11pm knocking on my door. Ended up staying somewhere else because it didn't feel safe.

Was only ok. Had a phone number for staff but was not answered. Laundry was locked up early and had to struggle. It's not o motel with cooking facilities unless you think of a student dorm room with a portable hot plate that you take out use and put away. Rooms dark. Bed was comfy though. 2 stars

For $130 a night was perfect.Off street secure parking.Room had everything i needed.Only complaint would be the very cold hallway. But you don't sleep in the hall..

We've stayed here a few times. The manager is always friendly and happy to help. We have only ever had one minor inconvenience that was quickly resolved. We've always been able to park in their off street parking and there's a really nice cafe nearby.

Pros:Small cozy roomsFriendly staffFree wifiComfy bedNice warm water in shower.Cons:Very noisy.Absolutely no view from the window.Parking can be a struggle.Power points in the wrong places - none next to your bed to charge phone overnight.

Location is great, less than 10mins on foot to the Octagon. Secure covered parking. Free laundry facilities. Facilities are not perfect but the cleanness and the services are perfect. Great value for the price. Highly recommend!

for the price we paid for this room it was very run down, old kitchen gear and shower, the only thing that looks like it had been done up was the bathroom sink, everything else looked about as old as could be. paid almost the same for a room in nelson and was much better for the price. would not come back.

Great location, only 15 minutes into the Octagon.Small rooms, very basic kitchenette with Toaster, Kettle & Microwave, no Stovetop. Comfortable beds, clean linen and very good heater. Free WiFi was provided.Bathroom was clean, stocked with basic amenities, but once again on the small size.There appeared to be only 1 Staff, he was very polite and fulfilled our requests promptly.Parking was semi secure in a back area, there was only driveway access to the motel and pedestrian entrance.Very cosy, warm and best value for money in short time frames.

We stayed 3 nights at motel on carrol, the rooms were very clean and in a brilliant location. The manager Brian is a sweetheart who helped us tremendously with any questions or requests we had. Loved our stay here and will be sure to return. Highly recommend.
