Bucklands Beach Waterfront Motel

We had two lots of family visiting from overseas for our wedding stay here in the last couple of weeks. On both occassions they had an excellent stay! The views from the first floor are lovely and the motel is right on the beach. Easy walking access to convenience stores, the marina and ferry. Would defintely recommend

Was super happy with this accommodation. Very clean and well maintained. Comfy beds too. Had everything we needed for comfort and convenience. We stayed in the 3 sleeper chalet. Can’t speak for the other units.

Nice clean motel. Is dated in the inside however, amazing views, quiet location, spacious units that are clean and everything you need. Good price. Enjoyed. Nice walk along bay to next bay over.

Studio unit, really nice modern and good value, however the biggest double bed I have ever seen took up 80% of the room leaving very little space to sit or relax. Fixtures & fitting are modern & room has a heat pump. It's a pitty the TV was detuned so you could not access channels 3, 3+,& Prime.I would come here again next time I need to come to East Auckland.

The place needs maintenance and is generally tired. The stair handrail leading up to the second story (above the pool) was barely attached and very loose which is a health and safety risk. They charged me twice for my room but did refund the overpayment. We did get charged retrospectively an extra fee, evidently due to make up residue on face cloths. That did seem a bit over the top as not experienced that with any other accommodation. The room was however clean, and the location was pleasant although regularly there would be members of the public playing loud music at the beach which you can hear clearly from the ocean front rooms - one night this was until 12.30 in the morning.

Perfect spot across the road from the beach, x2 great restaurants within walking distance and several coffee shops at the marina a quick 3km walk away. Staff in office and servicing units are very friendly. If you enjoy walking there’s a great track up to the point which looks out over the bay with a nice view of Rangitoto.However units are very run down with old furniture and unsightly fix up jobs, some blinds in the unit did not open at all and definitely need replacing. We stayed in the middle of winter from the Gold Coast so we were grateful for the heat pump in the unit. Beds were okay but could be softer. As another reviewer stated this motel is used as MSD accomodation (subsidised housing for low income families) there was some colourful language at times and a bit of a party tonight next door but all well behaved. We still have 2 more days but we have enjoyed our stay, thank you.

I found some of the bedrooms small with very little room to move. Clean, tidy and beautiful location. Swimming pool and beautiful ocean view. Big lounge, plenty kitchen space in the room I was booked in.No photos. It a view you need to see for yourself

Just need to renovate the pool need to change or fix it u overall it's my favorite holiday spot in the summer. Love this place feels homely.
