The most dishonest mechanic in Christchurch, originally from India, who now runs Canterbury Complience Centre that purchased few years ago. Brough my first car for repairs, he charged me $1000 cash and has not repeated anything. Brought the car back and he demanded extra $2000 cash for repairs. Applied for tribunal and after 2 months of waiting for the tribunal, hearing, he sends me a fake invoice that he repaired the car “again “, just two days before the hearing. The tribunal ordered for me to check the work of the current mechanic (Amarjit) independently, at a different mechanic of my choice. The current mechanic Amarjit is refusing to give back my car,unless I disclose him the details of where I’m taking the car for the check and unless he gets involved. The whole idea, is for me to check the work on the car at an independent mechanic, before we proceed with the court. He is still refusing to give back the car , took the key and I still have all personal possessions in the car. He has been keeping the car for 2 months now (waiting for tribunal) and after the tribunal ordered for me to check the car independently , he is still refusing to give it back unless he gets involved. Basically he stole my car, all the private possessions in it, and is keeping it unlawfully.Now have to get police involved. Beware of this one , his business is failing and he will rip you off , not compete the work up to standards, and as in my case can is even refuse to give back my private vehicle. Have to file a theft report to police now
