A Cool, relaxed atmosphere. Japanese small bites. The octopus ceviche was an amazingly delicious blend of textures and flavours. I've never had anything quite like it. The prawn katsu bun was so good I ordered a second. All with a tall, cold mug of Japanese draft made for a very satisfying experience. To top it off, the prices are very reasonable for quality. I would eat here often if I could.

Having been someone who love Japanese food, I have been reading what is happening online for new food space and ideas.I am delighted with the chose at Acho’s. A Japanese “pub-food” that have a huge selection of Japanese sake, whiskey and beer. The menu is full of traditional Japanese pub food in a different name. This is not the best part of place, it’s their daily specials that really blew me away – seasonal food that changes everyday.Acho’s is situated in the St Kevin’s Arcade on K Road, not great if you want a carpark, but great if you are there for a fantastic night out. Acho’s only occupy a part of the arcade, with high chairs and tables. That open space is shared amongst other eateries, so if you have a friend who wants a burger or Lebanese food instead it is definitely a place to go to.They will give you a menu and you should definitely go inside to admire the alcohol that have in place, some very rare and hard to find Whiskeys is a must.This is a great place to share food and drinks with people you love. Not the traditional restaurants.

Cheap and quality bar food with not an unimpressive sake selection. For K-Road standards, Acho's is well worth the visit!

Did not feel welcome. The person I was with did not order a drink and we were told off very rudely. They have a policy of no food without alcohol which is fine, it should have just been explained to us in a nicer manner. We ended up at the friendly cocktail bar at the back

Delicous vietnamese food from a little restaurant in a combined place with a japanese bar and others. Fresh and yummy food, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. We ordered rice noodles with meat for less than $17. Recommended.

Incredibly rude waitress who screamed at us for sitting on the tables outside before placing an order. We were the only customers there at the time… Safe to say we took our custom elsewhere and would recommend others do the same.

The only problem with Achos is that the vibe, drinks, and food are so good - I get too distracted to take any photos. Great drinking place, and perfect for snacking. Love the range of sake on offer, and option of a cheeky tower beer. Always a great time.

I'm a big fan of Tomoko and Noboru here at Acho's. It is also the best drink shop that I definitely want to visit when I go to Auckland.
