Pointe Central studio is a really great, supportive environment in which to learn ballet. The studio owner and teacher Briony Martin is highly qualified and experienced and an ex-professional international ballet dancer herself. She is constantly upgrading her teaching skills and knowledge in line with the latest developments and thinking. She is just the right mix of particular and fun in class! Briony is 100% dedicated to bringing out the best in every one of her students, whether beginner adults, nervous child, aspiring professional or syllabus teen. She also (!) is a brilliant choreographer for competition dances and creates as many in-studio or on-stage opportunities as possible with visiting coaches and professional companies. Wānaka is so lucky to have Pointe Central in the community. Led by talented former professional international ballerina Briony Martin, local children have access to exceptional tuition. Briony has a brilliant way of working with aspiring dancers - she knows how to bring out their best, while having fun at the same time.

Briony is an amazing ballet teacher, a beautiful dancer and a kind caring person.
