Viridian Glass, Dunedin

Very friendly staff, great service.

Job is done great. But customer service very poorly approached.

In October, 2019 we engaged Viridian Glass Dunedin to do a double glaze retrofit of the windows in our 1930’s villa. All windows were retrofitted in timber framing in keeping with the original character of our home.From start to finish we were impressed with the professional approach taken by Viridian to our work.They carried out the scoping and planning stages carefully and thoughtfully and we were impressed with the skill of the tradesmen who were on site every day to actually do the work.As the work progressed, we could see that the retrofitting/double glazing work was tricky, and if we embarked on this kind of project again, we would have no hesitation in calling on Viridian to do it as they have all the skills required for such a challenge.

We had almost the entire house, a 1920s wooden bungalow, retrofitted by Viridian and are very happy with the results. We got various quotes from a range of Dunedin companies and Viridian came in the best. The agent, Michael, was very efficient and answered all questions promptly. Where an alternative solution was needed for the master bedroom bay windows, which were discovered to be rotten beyond repair, he agreed without fuss despite the obvious frustrations. There were naturally difficulties with Covid and torrential rain, but these were resolved without major issue. The scaffolding remained up long enough to paint the exterior office windows, so that was an added bonus. The installer, Greg, was very friendly and accommodating and did an excellent job at fitting the retrofitted frames and new sashes where required and all without leaving a mess behind. Greg was also very helpful with providing an easy solution to painting the remaining high exterior frames. I would have no hesitation in using Viridian again.

If you want clear double glazing don’t expect it from Viridian, we’ve had numerous replacement panels in our doors both slider and bifold, all items were faulty. We’ve given up, shame our amazing view is ruined by roller marks on the inside of our double glazing. Viridian you need to sort your production methods, what a waste of materials and time.
