Good place to quickly walk your dog on a lead if your waiting for the after school pick up.Be on the look out for broken glass, bottle caps, and syringes from people who tend to loiter around after hours.

Awesome park bordered by massive shady Oak trees. Children's playground tucked in the corner with public restrooms available. Hamilton East shopping centre next to the park provides plenty of food options.

I love the two small trampolines at the steele park playground. They have swings, sea saws, things to climb, a huge field to relax under the shade in or play a little game of touch or cricket. I've seen others play frizzbee aswell. There is also duck island icecream that is squarely across the road from the Steele Park playground. Kid friendly, with public toilets for males & females. Has a changing room, but it has now been closed down until further notice. Overall I would give the park 3.5 stars.

Great place to hang out on a Sunday afternoon and have a break. I am spiritual and like to meditate and ground under the trees here. A pretty quiet park amongst the hustle and bustle of the shops.

Large open park with a kids playground here. Good selection of stuff for the kids, and great bring next door to duck island ice cream. Toilet facilities and lots of seats/ picnic tables and lots of sports played here as well. Great central location in Hamilton east.

Nice park to take the children to enjoy the playground while you sneak across to Duck Island for a scoop or two of their award winning decident icecreems. Yummy.
