Over rate this place, stayed for 4 nights. In TV cabinet room. Was perfect for us of what we required of a room of a kettle plus a TV. Highly recommend the toilet and showering area, so clean and tidy. Love the music in there, gives a vibe to your day. Service of reception was out standing. Arrived late, rang back to see if we had bedding. A service of thinking of their guests. Well done St Kilda Hoilday Park, we will be back.

Wouldn’t recommend this place. Advertises as pet friendly and isn’t! Dogs are allowed leashed on the property but you can not book a cabin or unit. Guess it would be okay if you had a camper van. Unfortunately for me I had just moved to Dunedin with my dog and we ended up sleeping in the car, and I only paid to be there as it was my safest option, I paid for a powered site to charge my phone and what not, couldn’t use the power as it was only made for campers, my mistake. Was told very swiftly we can’t refund you the difference. Staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone

We have been cycle touring around New Zealand for the last two months and have mainly been stopping in cabins in holiday parks. We originally wanted to stay here four nights but could only get the one as it was fully booked. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise.I'm sorry to report that this is sadly the worse site that we have stopped at. Don't get me wrong, it's not dirty but it is old and in need of a refurb. Our cabin was more expensive than what we normally pay elsewhere, as bedding, towels, pots and pans, where all extra costs. This park is well below the standard of what you would get at any Top 10 Park.In all honesty, we would not stay here again on the basis that it is poor value for money. For our other three nights in Dunedin, we stayed in a motel. This turned out to be not that much more money but far superior in quality.

Unfortunately found a dirty dish from previous guest in the fridge and bathroom did not look very clean. Was also quite loud being next to the shared kitchen. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful though.

Staff very friendly. Unit stank of previous occupier's cooking. Toilet was filthy. Shower was filthy. Crockery and utensils were filthy. The kitchenette splashback had brown splash marks and the fridge needed to be checked as it didn't keep anything cold. Bed was comfortable but very low and difficult to get out of. Really disappointed.

Take all your own kitchen utensils or hire from the camp as we could only find 1 fork and 2 knives which made for an interesting way to eat a roast! Check your cabin location as we were probably the furthest from the bathrooms as the central ones were under an upgrade. Not ideal to stay in a cabin in winter having to raise across the camp & make sure you know the bathroom code otherwise you can’t get in! No issues with wifi but limited kitchen supplies and the oven site doesn’t close so it took 2 hours to cook our roast. We happened upon a full day power outage which again wasn’t ideal. Wasn’t the best Location for us other than our visit to the castle & peninsula but it might be dependent on your plans. A summer stay would’ve been far more enjoyable.

To be honest a bit disappointed. Definitely over priced for what you get in comparison to other accommodations we stayed at while in the South Island. While it met our basic needs I would not recommend or stay here again. The wifi does not work in certain areas, showers spray water everywhere and tiny low double beds. We were over charged and refunded by a friendly male staff member when brought to their attention which is why I gave two stars instead of one.

Great location 3 min walk to the beach, rooms were ok, but not great. Bathrooms dated but adequate. Would stay again but in a self contained hut. Good camp shop with great quality and value meals.

Review based on powered RV site.Alright location, convenient to the peninsula.Needs a refurb though. Male toilets was missing the door handle and had a plastic bag through the hole to pull open - kinda gross. Playground climber has no way up suitable for younger kids.
