Cafe Verde is a hidden gem with good food and plenty of outdoor seating.Go down the alley in back. Parking in back…Cafe seating in the garden.There is small playground for kids.#EatWell

Coffee was mediocre: no microfoaming on the latte and was very hot. Big bubbles. Typically very dark roast.But the place looks nice and the food is good too.Rhubarbe pie was amazing hence 5 out of 5 stars.

Dropped by for lunch and ordered the salmon dish with a corn sauce and brussel sprouts. This was really delicious and I’d definitely recommend everyone check out this place if they have the opportunity.

Beautiful gardens for outdoor dining. Simple menu but delicious food. The lamb rump and mussels in wine were perfectly cooked!

Hubby and I enjoyed brunch outside in the pretty garden at Cafe Verde in the autumn sunshine. The staff were all super happy, friendly and helpful, and I enjoyed my high country salmon, perfectly cooked, accompanied by a potato, spinach and feta frittata and tomato relish. The coffee was hot and had lots of flavour. I would have given 5 stars, except for the 2 minor issues my husband had with his meal: partially runny whites on his fried eggs, and a knife that wasn't sharp enough to cut the bacon. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cafe to all passing through this delightful town.
