Terra Vive Suites & Apartments

Room was spotless on arrival and was cleaned everyday. Greeting from owner was great. Room was warm and quiet. Would happily stay again.

We are very happy w our stay here. Laundry in the room, big tv, mini fridge, king bed w heating pads, and desk big enough for the 2 of our computers. Terra Vive!

Fabulous. Immaculately clean, spacious and well appointed room, a nice outdoor area, a welcoming but unintrusive host who was very thorough about servicing my room each day, and the place is surprisingly quiet for such a central location. Very good value. During this trip I also stayed at a 5 star hotel nearby for twice the price and found at nowhere near as nice.

The name suggests luxury but it is far from it.The rooms are very dark and dismal and the soft furnishings were odd colours thrown together and seriously needed updating , they looked faded and worn. The carpet had stains. The matress was old and lumpy.I had some ironing to do but I didn't bother as the board pulled out from under the kitchen bench and wedged against the bathroom doorframe.The fridge had a broken door shelf so our supplies didn't fit as we couldn't use the door shelf.The bathroom sink took ten minutes to drain after washing your hands.Touring NZ for six weeks and have stayed in many lovely places but this was incredibly disappointing.

For what we needed for one night most was provided. The Wi-Fi connection was intermittent they may have been due to the downstairs corner apartment we were in. Overall was a most pleasant stay thank you

Great to be greeted at reception by the owner. The room looks as though it has been recently refurbished, and was spotless. Yes, there is construction going on next door, but the double glazing works.Bed was great, plenty of room, linen was good quality, nice to be able to sit in chairs to watch TV.Good pub close by and an easy walk into town.I will book here again

I had a great stay at Terra Vive with my mum and daughter. Mandy and Brian looked after us very well. The rooms were spotless and had everything needed. It was the best shower I've ever used! Great location, just a short walk to nice cafes and tourist attractions. Must get food from Thai Container - 3min walk away!

A good place to stay. 10 minute work into CBD. Restaurants and pubs are within easy walking distance. Very nice rooms.

Stayed here for 3 nights over a weekend. Clean and tidy rooms. Washing machine and dryer in the room, soap powder provided as well, all for no extra charge. Outside noise wasn't bad, we got to sleep quickly and slept all night. Really good price, can't complain there, have definitely paid more for much less including standard of rooms. Was a nice walk into town, not too far, and not right in the CBD so it was a good spot. Will definitely be staying here again in the future. No complaints.

We stayed here for 3 nights recently. It was our 1st visit to Christchurch and didn't know what part of city to stay. The service was faultless, fresh towels everyday, easy check in and out.However the negatives for our room it had a wet room, great in an ideal situation but no shower curtain option to contain water from going everywhere as toilet quite close to shower. Tiles get very slippy so becareful. Vanity warped from steam and not designed for a bathroom. An extractor fan would be a good investment rather than having to open window which is direct on footpath. I would suggest if booking take room with bath tub option.Bed very firm, some may enjoy, as you can't please everyone.Fri and Sat night traffic non stop from boy racers and police sirens, we come from a City but after talking with people who knew the area they said Bealey is like that, especially weekends.
