Fiordland Lodge Te Anau
Very helpful hosts - the place has a luggage elevator to help bringing heavy luggage upstairs. Rooms have a nice view, and there's hot tubs also available for use with a nice view. Couldn't do much around the area due to bad weather, so stayed mostly inside. I wish their payment systems accepted the use of Paypass/cardless payments. Instead was forced to use a physical credit card and incurred a surcharge. Also the room TV's have limited channels due to outdated TVs whereas other lodges and accomodations I stayed prior during my NZ trip all have smart Tvs/integrated apps.

Great place to unwind run by great people. We had an entry level room but was still luxurious, just what you would expect for a high end lodge.View was second to none from the hot tub. Only thing missing was slippers for the guests to match the bath robes. Feet got a little cold coming back from the hot tub especially during Winter. Recommend for couples and would also be a great place to hold an event.

We booked a motel unit but were upgraded to the cabin which was simply perfect. Located right by the lake with a well-equipped kitchen, comfy living room and bean bags to star gaze, this place was absolute heaven. The host was so lovely and forthcoming! This place is a slice of heaven. Can't wait to go back there!

My husband and I recently stayed 3 nights at the lodge, which is gorgeous and sited in a very scenic location. The hospitality was excellent and the food was outstanding. I highly recommend this property.

We had the best time at Fiordland lodge, the venue is very special and the staff is amazing. Our room was basic but cozy and common areas, food and hot tubs were superb. Because they have a limited number of guests they can offer an exclusive service, which is rare in NZ. I definitely recommend for a romantic getaway or if you are looking for a place to disconnect. This has been our favorite hotel in our honeymoon. Thanks Fiordland!

My wife and I got married here a few weeks ago and you honestly cannot beat the views, service, and food they served.The Venue is equal parts luxe and rustic and the location for both relaxation and adventure is second to none!The team are all lovely and if you're lucky you'll have a minute to soak in the tubs or relax in the sauna and catch a glimpse of the lodge puppy Bella!

We did not stay at the lodge but had dinner and used their hot tubs. Exceptional service, devine food and magnificent views. This was truely one of the highlights of our trip and a great way to unwind between doing the Milford and the Kepler hikes. Highly recommend and we look forward to returning to stay sometime in the future

I confess I was here for work and not staying. But I love this style of lodge. Lots of wood n stone. Great ambience and hard not to be stunned by a view of the world heritage Fiordland national park. Add into this mix your hosts and the team looking after you.

This review is in no way a reflection of the staff and cleanliness of Fiordland Lodge, neither is it a reflection on the magnificent views afforded from the hotel, but the whole place is now really “tired”. From the communal areas to the rooms themselves, although spacious and clean, all the fixtures, fittings, carpets etc are all now very dated as are the bathrooms. We only stayed for one night and had a mediocre dinner before the next leg of our trip, but everything was not to the standard we expect from a five star hotel.
