Katsubi Takapuna

Would be nice with a couple more vegetarian options and is a bit expensive but other than that amazing food and would definitely reccomend.

I eat at Katsubi everyday in whatever suburb I am in that day. When I choose my salad I always ask for everything except jalapeño and seaweed. This makes it easier for all involved. I know that mixed seeds and dried shallots is part of that but the old Korean lady forgot to add it. After I realized she had forgotten to put them, I went to the counter and asked her to add them. She refused and said I need to pay extra. Obviously doesn't know her job . I looked on the website and showed her that it's included, she was rude and unhelpful and tried to argue with me. Her co worker mumbled something to her and she added them. Disgusting service.I had nothing against the other two staff so as I left I politely said thank you. The tall girl in the kitchen ignored me and looked out the window and and so did the short one at the front. The old one was not there anymore. Very rude service I will never go back to that branch.

Nice eating option in Takapuna. The food is similar to a lot of other Katsubi places. The service is hit and miss. The person at the till is usually friendly but anyone else serving you look like they don't want to be there.

Honestly this is the best location on the shore! The food is always hot and you get your money's worth. I used to go to glenfield but their service, food temperature and value for money have gotten very poor. The girls at Taka arw very friendly and kind.

It was a blackened and old-looking, tough chicken. I hastily went to this place for my hungry children, but I never want to go there again. We couldn't finish the chicken and had to throw it away. The store was clean and the staff were friendly, but the quality of the chicken was terrible.

I got Teriyaki chicken and spicy pork kimchi with bean sprouts.Teriyaki chicken was good, pork kimchi was alright and the bean sprouts tasted a bit off it made me sick and felt like throwing up so I stopped eating it but I just felt sick after that.Was a decent meal but I won’t order bean sprouts again.

Despite what the reviews say, I had a very positive experience at this Katsubi location. We visited on a Tuesday night around 6:00 P.M. and ordered the medium bowl with 1 hot option. The rice and veggies were fresh and delicious. The Spicy Crispy Chicken was delicious and they gave me a HUGE portion. We dined in and the restaurant was clean with friendly and helpful employees.

It used to be really good food and service, now is just average food and the girl behind the counter is always rude and in a bad mood, she sets bad atmosphere and she cant stand to be there you can tell, she also only served me 2 small pieces of broccoli, when i asked for me she got upset and started pulling faces and rolling her eyes, this is not the first time this hsve happened, prices of food have increased i get it but this specific katsubi has just gottan really bad probably since she is there to be honest, Shame thou the old staff were way more friendly and generous with the amount of food they were serving,

We were in Katsubi today. The portions are small, too spicy. Staff is not friendly. For 20 bucks you can definitely taste better and eat better. I won’t go to them anymore, I didn’t like it at all.

I order from here regularly. Always a nice selection of food, always fresh and lots of it. I see the comments re service, but I order mainly on Uber eats so I cannot say if the staff are salty or sweet. Happy with the food. That's what matters.
