Muriwai Deli is a hidden gem. For us Non New Zealanders, don't let the name deli deter you. This is a classic mom and pop coffee shop with gorgeous lattes and amazing pastries.My family each had a different favorite pasty. This was on par with the best European pastries we have eaten.My favorite was the bomb. A croissant round stuffed with cream cheese and blueberries.My son loved the orange cake. Whole oranges boiled for an hour and blitzed into this moist, taste explosion.Hubby's favorite was the almond croissant. Super delicious and flaky.The mushroom toasty (panini) was fabulous.The chef stopped by twice and showed us his garden. The food is served with love. A must eat at on your way to surf at Muriwai beach.

As a athlete, I’m very careful about what I put into my body. But this stuff here is delicious AND fresh and healthy. Helps fuel me before I go to the gym and bench like 100kg or something

Absolutely divine tasty bits. Had the mushroom and blue cheese tart and man was it amazing. Gorgeous spot for a cup of coffee and dog friendly too. Great place to visit regularly.

Popped into Muriwai Deli this morning for a coffee but wow the food looked so delectable I had to buy. Chose a pizza scroll and a salted caramel afghan. Both were delicious.Coffee was superb too. The friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere made the visit special. Certainly recommend a visit.
