Fabulous wedding venue. Kids had a great time playing tennis and lawn games.

Awesome venue. Staff are so cool and friendly. Love the donkeys and the frogs around the pond. Favourite spot will be the fernery.

We got married here just over a week ago and I still cannot get over how stunning the venue looked. Everyone commented on how amazing it was and how much fun they had. There are plenty of games to play and so many places to explore so everyone is kept entertained throughout the day.As soon as we saw the venue we knew this was the place we wanted to get married. Su-an and her team are incredibly experienced and knowledgeable and know how to plan a perfect day.Wish we could have our day all over again.

Su-an and Alistair are awesome people to work with. They are absolute experts in their field and a true dream team! They have taken so much stress off my shoulders. I couldn’t imagine a better crew to host a wedding!Not to mention their beautiful wildlife-focussed restoration of the old school grounds that they have turned into a gorgeous space, not just to celebrate people, but also to celebrate nature! It’s such a comfortable, friendly environment and any wedding party would feel at home here! I will find any reason to come back here, and I know I will be welcomed by the lovely Su-an and Alistair ❤️

Old Forest School is one of the most magical locations in Aotearoa. I was lucky enough to use it as a location for short films and my TVNZ OnDemand series and it was an amazing experience, wonderful and helpful owners who made it such an easy set which really helps on stressful shoot days.

The moment my hubby to be and I stepped foot in this venue in January 2020 we immediately knew this venue was the one. We had visited other venues previously but learning about the history and seeing how passionate Su-an is about her gorgeous venue was one of the selling points for us. From the first visit to the big day Su-an was incredible, the communication and guidance was fabulous along with the event management on the day, Su-an worked along side our vendors to ensure everything ran so smoothly without error. I knew the minute I arrived at the venue that Su-an had everything under control and it was so exciting to go back and visit again and again keeping an eye out for the newest upgrades that they've worked on! This venue is beautiful and the team are continuously working behind the scenes to enhance its beauty even more. The guests can't stop raving about how stunning it is and all the little details from the outdoor bar to the school house to the lawn games! Everything is absolute perfection. We took the Mystery Location" approach and none of our guests were aware of the venue. We had them meet at our local bus stop in Rotorua and bussed them out. The secret location was a huge hit for the guests and added a whole new level of excitement for them as the journey unfolded!!! Would definitely recommend! I'm a professional photographer and have shot weddings at Old Forest School. Not only are the staff super accommodating and friendly but the venue itself is stunning. The grounds are incredible and there are so many amazing photo locations on site. Definitely would recommend Old Forest School if you're needing a wedding venue in the Tauranga region.
