West Auckland Engine Reconditioners

VERY DISSAPOINTED!RIPPED OFF!Eric quoted me $1500 to reco heads on my 308 Holden.I took him the heads, it needed seats to run pump gas and a couple of valves.I had only JUST put new timing gears and chain in it. He charged me for new timing SET! Fitted heads and inlet manifold. I picked the car up, it had a MASSIVE Trans fluid leak that WASNT there when I dropped it off. Then! He charged me nearly 6.5k!Once I got about 20 KS on it, I found 3 MAJOR oil leaks from the inlet manifold!!!GUTTED!WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

Took my car there spoke to Eric and he had a list for me to write down what I wanted done which was good .so was clear on the work they were doing. He was good as I supplied some parts to fit and Daniel done a great job on fitting and rewiring.over all friendly team.thanks guys.

Lovely staff that work here, also quality of work is beautifully done, had this head resurfaced by them a few weeks back, I accidentally dropped a dowel pin when I picked it up, left and got a call shortly after letting me know they found it and for me to collect, great job guys 10/10 recommended!!!

Brought my Mustang here for a tune up, car runs like a dream now. Very professional and accomodating. definitely come here again if I need something else done. Thanks guys!

Doggy guys never deal with these shop agin, cannot give a proper quotation, job wasn’t done right bad customer service anyone going there get a proper quotation by email don’t trust what they tell you on the phone. I should’ve thought about those previous reviews.

Have had my car tuned by west Auckland engine re conditioners and couldn't be happier with the result. They really know their stuff, whether its American v8's, old classics or Japanese imports. Mostly everything is done in-shop and Eric and the guys are more than happy to let you pop in and see how things are going. Will definitely be back

I feel sorry for my uncle who took his dodge to west auckland engine reconditioners . He was charged thousands over what was quoted and the quality of workmanship was poor. The car was supposed to have been tuned after the engine work and another mechanic had to retune the car and did a much better job . He also picked up a few faults with the work. These guy are not the mopar experts they say they are and are ruthless when it cones to paying the bill pay up or you don't get your car back. Don't trust your pride and joy and give yourself a big head ache when dealing with Eric and his guys , do not trust them and be very careful if you deal with them.
