Go local they say, well if you want to pay $40 for you and 1 child , then sell a kidney to pay for a popcorn and drink combo this is the place for you. Along with your 1 star skeleton service you can get up and shut the theatre doors yourself as the feature has started and the staff have not. The toilets are an offence to your nasal cavity and the disabled let's you choose your own roll a la carte from the uncleaned floor, as dispensers are overrated when you have a mobility rail to dump it on. That's if you could get into the bathrooms as the heavy door is propped open with a partition stand blocking chair access. Could I have Karen'd out at a staff member? Yeah, but I don't have the hair for it and there were no staff to be seen as I left. Super Mario was however fantastic! 5⭐For reference - the toilet paper was being finally being replaced 2hrs after doors opened and the rolls on the floor were what we saw originally, then the dispenser roll was put on the mobility rail the old rolls were left as a warning to the new roll of it's imminent fate... Seriously tho, just do better.

Good theatre, I never buy food cause it’s way overpriced but that’s their business model. Also tons of ads these days but that’s all theatres. Overall service is good, theatre is clean, self order tickets are great.

Comfy cinema and good facilities. We booked online which made for an easy pick up. The cinema wasn't very full so bonus for us. All the usual snacks avaliable and the kitchen food smelt amazing.

After I went to the movies, I was pleased with the level of service I received. The staff was friendly, professional, and helpful.They helped me find the right food and drinks for my movie viewing experience.My seat in the theater was clean and comfortable. I left the theater feeling satisfied with the service I had received.

Pretty quiet, close to food places. A bit pricey and have small cinemas (a bit basic in comparison to Wairau). Friendly staff and pretty tidy. Good selection of times.

I didn't think the air-conditioning was working as almost sweating in the theatre. There was a light across the middle of the screen which was still there when I got up and closed the door to the theatre. When the froth disappeared in our drinks we were left with just over 1/2 a cup and you get charged enough for it but how would you prove it to the servers behind the counter

We have been there twice now, first time the sound was so bad/loud , it was so bad we had to cover our ears. Didn't really want to go there again, but gave it another try and we were pleased with that visit. The whole place seems to need a update, I found that there is not enough leg space to sit comfortably. Its great that we have a cinema Close by, and we will be going back again.

Good neighborhood cinemaAnnoying that the Hoyts online booking system charges a booking fee. There is no justification for this, people booking online are reducing demands on staff at the cinema.

Friendly service like usual. They appeared to take care of the large queue of people waiting for films rather quickly. The food in the restaurant type cafe area was quite nice and the overall service was good. I overheard someone confused about an item on the menu and the employee at the register assisted them with haste. The do it yourself ticket printer is very easy to use and understand. The bathrooms were clean and tidy as well as the individual cinema I went into that evening. I definitely would recommend Hoyts as it has a very good atmosphere.
