although appointments are later than expected sometimes, it’s worth the wait. the doctor I have is really kind & compared to my previous doctors this one actually tries to make an effort to help. I appreciate it :)

My kids&partner moved to this new clinic thinking its the best and we are much closer to them. Its like someone was telling me to just stay with our old clinic. honestly now they regret moving. This clinic is charging for everything and it looks like its for money not for peoples lives. Now they charge for special consultation and theres a limit of time with fees when you have an appointment. When you cancel or dont show up which i tried calling to cancel just that morning theres still a $30fee and a administration fee to every thing and when you called and needs to be seen theres a special fee. Or they will take you what to give your kids and when you ask for a prescription of paramol or ibuprofen they recommend they said theres a fee. REALLY? What else do yous do thats much more special than other Drs. My Dr calls me if something is up but i dont show up. This one, they call to book a appointment to one of my kids that takes 2weeks to be seen. And if your moving from them theres a $50 fee unless your moving out of Chch. So Please dont think of registering to this clinic. If i can post with no stars i would.

Have yet to be able to get an appointment with anyone, nurse or doctor. Over the phone or in person. All I need is a script for an existing condition.Regretting signing up with village heath

We've just seen Briar the nurse, and she was absolutely lovely. Made us feel so comfortable and very non-judgmental. I asked lots of questions and she provided a kind answer for them all. Very personable, I highly recommend her!

Has been my GP since moving to Chch but not happy with recent encounter where they answered your phonecall then theyll say pls wait for a moment just to speak with someone who is not listening carefully and rushing me to set an appointment. I am pregnant and was booked for a flu vaccine by a nurse following my DPT vaccine in January, but for some reason I cant find the date it was booked. I had 2nd time covid and no one even called me to check. I spoke to that staff re:flu vax date and said nothing has been booked but i was pretty sure it was. Back then, their system was good. They send a text message to confirm an appt but this time there was just none. This person even not confirming my identity because she wanted to hangup already not until I was puzzled and i asked do you know my name already? Then she said oh yeah whats your DOB? Thats the only time she confirmed with me. I understand healthcare business is always busy because I am a nurse too but to have that treatment is just not therapeutic for a primary healthcare provider. Im giving it 3stars because my gp doctor and nurse that i encountered are all fantastic anyways.

One of the worst experiences that I have had with any health service. I am a new client to this clinic and, as is standard practice, I had to see a GP before I could get a script. As they had no GP's available, they made me an appointment with a Clinician (Dietician) who did the initial assessment. My understanding when talking to the receptionist was that on advice from the Clinician, I would be able to get a script from the GP for my regular medication, especially given it is working well and I had nothing further to discuss. This was not the case. To cut a long story short I ended up paying $65.00 for 2 weeks of medication. I understand that the GPs are overworked and pressured for time but the lack of communication prior to my booking the assessment and not being told that they will not supply a standard script, means that this is a very costly exercise that most people can barely afford, remembering also that I still have to pay for my upcoming GP appointment. When I rung the clinic to have a civil conversation about how disappointing this experience has been, they would not speak to me, instead insisting that I write them a letter. When I stated that I did not want to write to them but rather talk to someone (then if necessary write something after that), they hung up on me. Condescendingly they followed this up with a text with an email address to write to. My experience of this service was unprofessional in that I was not fully informed, was not treated with respect and then was not given the option to address issues (other than by very limited means). It seems to me they are more interested in making money than helping people.

I am very disappointed to be giving this review, given that my gp here is the best gp I have ever had. Dr Searle is incredible and goes above and beyond for her patients. However, the hurdles you have to jump through to see the doctor are excessive. I understand where you're coming from with the triage system, healthcare is underfunded and overwhelmed and it's understandable you would need to prioritise appointments. Yet I recently had back pain so bad I couldn't walk or sleep for several days, and spent another couple of weeks in absolute agony barely able to walk or work. When I rang, the nurse who triaged me told me a doctor's appointment wasn't necessary and I should just use ibuprofen for a week. I was in too much pain and hadn't slept so didn't feel capable of fighting the issue, but upon reflection this was an absolutely horrific state to just leave someone in.I am very tempted to leave this clinic despite having the best gp I have ever had, given I simply cannot trust the clinic will let me see her when I need to.

I've been with Village Health for several years now with my partner, and my flatmate even switched over as well. I always have great service no matter which Doctor I see, though I love my GP Eve Fitzgerald, she's amazing, empathetic and resourceful and has helped me though some tough times. The reception team is also very wonderful, always happy and compassionate.

Before to get enrolled I checked at the reviews and I was a bit concerned about some comments regarding the attention. After a few phone calls with the staff and a couple of appointments I can say the staff is amazing, kind and really helpful, willing to answer questions, specially on my first appointment within the centre. Thank you for your outstanding service, keep it up!
