Website states open Saturday 8:30 until 12:00. I waited from 8:20 until 9:20 28/11/20, disappointed to find no one turned up!

You have alot of macanics to pick from in howick they are pretty much all next door to each other but I took a chance on somar and I was so glad I did. When I rang to book my car in I said I would have to drop it off outside before they start as I start work at 6:30am my gf was talking me to work but they offered me a curtacy car for the day anyway witch is a nice options to have. They did a full service to my car and it feels like brad new again got a text alert that my car was ready to pick up and the guys are really nice and friendly and seems they will do anything they can for you even gave me a car calendar as a little gift and trust me it's the little thing that count and will keep me coming back. I will definitely be bringing my car back hear for it's w.o.f

Booked my car in for a WOF it couldn't have been easier. I used their super easy online booking tool and got friendly email confirming the booking. Asked the Gentleman to fix the back door of my car while it was there and nothing was to much bother. This really is a great little service hidden away in Howick. I know I won't be going anywhere else. Thank you so much guys.

Honest, skillful, friendly mechanic with massive experience and great attitude. If you are looking for a car mechanic in Howick/Botany area Volodymyr is the person to see. Had my car engine problem fixed by him when even the dealers couldn't tell what was wrong with it. You will never look elsewhere. Alex

Vladimir and his wife, are the most honest business owners between all workshops in auckland hands down..Vladimir has been fixing our family cars and completing WOF for the last 10 years, he is very transparent and honest. he does not over charge rather the opposite, uses premium products and does not try make profit from parts. He has allowed me a few times (while I was a student many years ago) to pay him later. I live in Takanini but I drive all the way back to howick to get my car serviced or WOF'ed. My parents still live in howick and still to this day go to Somar to get their cars serviced as well. He has an automated reminder to send you a text message when you car needs to be serviced, very convenient. Vladimir will look after you and will fix any problem that might reoccur at no cost, that is how sure he is with his work. A++++

Great professionals, caring approach.

Shocking service. Took in my boat trailer for wheel bearings to be replaced and to have the brakes repaired. He was unable to repair the brakes and fitted the wrong size wheel bearings. Then refused to issue the WOF due to trailer brakes not working, even though the boat is below the legal weight to have trailer brakes. To top it off he gave me a bill for $495.00KEEP AWAY!
