Big Rock Adventures Canyoning
Had a really great time canyoning with Big Rock Adventures and our guide Luke. Ended up just the two of us on it which we loved as it meant less waiting around. Felt safe the entire time and Luke encouraged you to push yourself but was also patient when I whimped out of the big jump and he had to set up an abseil instead. The mini highlights video they produce is cool and you have a chance to purchase a full length one if you want. Originally had canyoning booked in Queenstown which was (thankfully) cancelled and meant we rebooked with Big Rock. From our experience and everything we’ve heard, it’s definitely way better!

An epic day trip out of Christchurch or Geraldine! Kaumira canyon was insanely beautiful and heaps of fun. This is the perfect activity for outdoor enthusiasts, adrenaline junkies and all those in between. Thanks Big Rock Canyons!

I just finished both the Tui and Kaumira canyons with Koryn and Big Rock Canyons and it was worth every penny. Lots of excitement, adrenaline, big jumps, long rappels, and fantastic scenery. Despite all the exhilaration I never felt overwhelmed or unsafe as Koryn was an awesome guide and great person to spend two days with. I can't say enough good things about this trip.

We were very fortunate to have done this course, as with canyoning, you really don't know, what you don't know. Koryn is an incredibly experienced instructor with great teaching skills, patience and a whole lot of enthusiasm for the sport. I learnt alot over the 2 days and with the knowledge taken away from this course I feel confident and safe taking friends down canyons! I would 100% recommend courses with Koryn, if you are thinking about it.
