Bikes on Barrier is where it is at when it comes to scooter/moped rentals on the island. AJ who is the owner and operator is a legend and will bend over backwards to make sure you have an awesome time. He makes the entire process stress free and will make sure you don’t need to worry about anything. The scooters are new and in mint condition. The helmets are sturdy and look cool (I know this shouldn’t be a prerequisite but who doesn’t want to look skuxs on holiday). Give AJ a bell for sure! Booking is a good idea but AJ will do whatever he can to make it work on the day ☺️

10/10 recommend hiring for the full day!!!! Great pricing. What a fun day, and amazing way to check out the island! Away on a girl's trip and we had an absolute blast cruising the island. AJ was awesome, super friendly and accomodating. #scootscoot

We had an excellent time seeing the island via scooters - a lot more fun than seeing it by car! AJ was fantastic, super helpful and friendly! The bikes are brand new as well.

AJ was super friendly and extremely helpful. We had a great time zooming around the rest of the island after completing the Aotea track. Highly recommended activity to do on Great Barrier!

Awesome way to see the island ! Sooooo much fun cruising around enjoying the fresh air on the scooters and super easy to drive !AJ is such a legend super helpful and went the extra mile to accomodate for all 7 of us. Will defiantly be back again thanks bikes on barrier !
