CARTERS - St Lukes

Was a little disappointed with service I had today where on other visits they have been great. Also a very common power tool I had ordered with a number of other power tools took about two months to come where now its not needed.

I am a bit confused as to why a multi million dollar franchise like Carters cannot afford the time to upgrade their eftpos system to paywave. Also the counter staff were very unpleasant when I was unable to pay because of this issue. Carters St Lukes, step up your management please.

A well-organized timber yard reasonable prices carters have been in the business for a long time since i started my apprenticeship and it's still there more for the trades than your home handyman but they will cater for all with great advice

Good service great team very helpful

I visited this yard yesterday and was almost run over by a fork lift driver as we walk towards him. He drove straight at us at speed and swerved away at the last moment, my son and I were walking as far to our right as possible. He was later asked if he could take down a pack of decking timber that we could not reach he refused. And directed us to the manager. OSH and customer service seems to be missing from this drivers vocabulary. We were sworn at and he stormed off. He will kill someone one day. Carter's missed out on selling decking timber for our deck, I have gone to ITM. I only gave them a 2 because of the young man I spoke to after the incident. The yard manager did little to satisfy my son who had spent many tens of thousands over the last 2years at this company and I'm sure he would given 1 star.

There’s this PRIMO AS guy there named Marcell, total legend honestly I never write reviews but this man is a hard worker. Top notch fella give this guy a raise.

I bought a damaged section of jib at at Carters in St Lukes as it was all I needed as their part sheets didn`t fit the area I was jibbing and I didn`t wish to dispose of left overs from a full sheet. Waited 20 minutes for service for somebody to attend.With much deliberation by counter staff and cross referencing among themselves they determined the cost to be 25% of a full sheet of jib and was charged just under $15. While the amount is not what is significant, a full sheet would have cost just under $14 at Bunnings. Note I have only ticked the 1 star as it was the only way of posting this review . Will not be back.

Very good customer service. Good quality range of products. Staff is helpful and suggests the ways to meet requirements especially Barry who goes that extra mile to serve. Price is reasonable. Getting around the yard may be a little difficult but that is acceptable.
