Very different experience to the shop it used to be, gone are most of all the delightful gifts (the main reason for my visit); we bought plain biltong which was good, also milktart was lovely.

Really good deals on meat available here. Got a decent brisket for $60, they also do a great biltong and have a decent range of grocery items from South Africa and overseas. The staff are friendly and helpful too.

Felt rushed like I was unwanted in the store, didn't ask if the amount they had cut was enough or not and didn't ask if I wanted extra seasoning, just wanted me to pay and get out & were very very rude/unprofessional(one girl staff) , that's how I felt anyway.Ruined my day and made me feel like crying. Will be taking my business elsewhere. You shouldn't treat anyone like this.Wonder how she treats her own family.I went back to talk to say how I felt after my husband comforted me and the staff member that made me uncomfortable, she wouldn't even talk to me and walked away.I said God bless you!I cried in front of the staff and girl with the hijab comforted me and gave me a hug and apologized.(Even though she did nothing wrong)How is that threatening anyone?(owner said in his original reply that I threatened his/her staff, more information post script)Did you even ask my side of the story? Are you saying I asked you to cut my homemade biltong?Seems like you don't have full information of what happened and making your own assumptions.I'm happy to come and talk again in person and tell you whole story, bring staff member along and give her a fair chance to explain her side as well.Happy to sit on the table and discuss this issue with you. That staff member need some help. Please arrange some counseling for her mate! She is not in good head space. She is not doing OK.Lord bless everyone of you!PS: In owner's original reply he/she said that I threatened his/her staff.(And he/she replied some weird reply which didn't even make sense like he/she only had limited information or he/she got confused and thought that I was someone else & then posted his/her number to get in touch after 2nd time he/she edited his/her reply). Will get in touch with him/her.Good day & be blessed!

I was looking for a good steak for my wife celebrating mother's day and went to Food Culture because they were open on Sunday. I found delicious streaks. Their service was great too. I'll be back for another steak.

Great selection of meat and there is usually brisket and beef short ribs available and usually something on specials. One stop shop for wood/charcoal plus loads of rubs and sauces for a proper bbq. Delicious biltong. There is a loads of South African imported stuff.

Newly open just three weeks ago, this South African butchery is a mandatory stop for special meats and delicious homemade sausages, either stuffed with beef or pork. It is well decorated and organized in sections to make it easier to shop around. There are plenty of other options to complement your bbq experience, like braaipap and chakalaka combo. Plenty of parking in front and opens every day, ideal for a last minute bbq. Will definitely come back again.

Not good enough. Far too many products have expired and hardly any discount to encourage us to buy old stock.
