Foreshore Motor Lodge
The foreshore motor lodge was a great stay for us. From our room we were able to look over wellington harbor, an amazing view. We were also right on the backdoor step of the Jackson St food strip of 60 food places as well 2 supermarkets. I would recommend the foreshore.motor lodge to anyone visiting wellington.

Stayed for 4 nights, would not stayed again as there was rust on the fridge and door seal was broken so nothing was kept cold, make a terrible noise as well. Paint coming off the walls and floor. The room was suppose to be sleep 4 people but only had extra bedding for 2 people and one of the wool blankets has a big hole in it which you could put your hand through. There was also quite big stain on the duvet cover which looked like it had been there for some time. For a place and for the price you were only given freeview and that was with limited channels. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Rooms clean but dated. Rusted heated towel rail and fridge door. Strange configuration with almost a wardrobe for crockery/cutlery which meant reaching high for those things and reduced potential bench space which would be required if you wanted to cook in the room on the full oven (a bonus for families). However, great service and super clean. When only looking for a bed for the night you only need clean ;)

Great price and great service. There weren’t any noisy neighbours and felt very accommodating. Would definitely stay again :)

Rooms are ok a little old but perfectly ok for a nights stay.. Very close to main street of Petone and great been right across the road from the sea...

The room was ok, bed a little uncomfortable, shower fine but towel rail broke . Coffee plunger had no handle , dangerous to use with no available replacement. Staff pretty good. A good place to explore Petone

We booked for 2 nights and paid $520, well what can I say. The first thing we noticed on walking in was the smell. It smelled like urine. The room was small, dirty with mould and rust in the bathroom, paint was peeling off the walls everywhere and extremely old and dated. Couldn't use the fridge as the seals had so many gaps in it that it wasn't staying cold. I could not believe we paid that much for a room like this. We didn't sleep the 2 nights there as the bed was so uncomfortable. I do not recommend this hotel at all. I feel ripped off.

Dirty. Bugs (spiders, mosquitos, flys). Poor service. Not worth the money. When I asked for fly spray I was offered disinfectant. I said I don’t want to wash the bugs, I want to kill them. Then I was offered insect repellant. I demanded flyspray and was told he would have to call the manager to authorise flyspray. Just awful service and awful room.

My son and I were warmly welcomed and are enjoying our studio unit which is lovely. We will certainly be back to stay in the future.
